can anyone point me to the thread where Nakhchivan was talking about how military clothing bleeds over into the fashion world?

sold out in presale (sleeve), Monday, 25 February 2019 16:38 (seven years ago)

I'm not turning anything up, but this has been a great opportunity to review old Nakh and Nilmar posts.

Is there a thread to identify poor resolution pictures? Kind of like a song ID but with a terrible quality graphic?

Nice, Matt! That's a great thread. Like a dork, I was hunting around for some thread about the historical origins of peacoats and khakis and stuff.

I really want zing to be able search all threads. :-( Maybe disabled cause I'd post like back in the day if it was possible. Lol

I'm looking for the thread about being dumped/all communication severed as a friend, rather than as a partner.

someone (quincie? Mordy?) posted an article about Jewish conversational habits which included the hilarious term "cooperative overspeaking" iirc. I thought this was on one of the Hey Jews! threads but I can't find it. lil help?

welp, here i am again

what's that thread about ways that modern life is worse, despite technological advances? i believe i am the first person to come up with the idea that the way we typically listen to music and watch tv and movies is bad

Where's the thread asking us to guess an artist's discography using visually similar images of the album covers on Google Image Search?

Kevin John Bozelka, Friday, 15 November 2019 05:55 (six years ago)

That was a fun thread! No idea what it was called.

Recognize Discographies from Approximate Colour Schemes! (an ILM cover game)

☮ (peace, man), Friday, 15 November 2019 13:29 (six years ago)

I just went and tried to use GIS visually similar images to see if this could be replicated, but unfortunately they just gave me back 100 pictures of the same album cover.

weird ilx but sb (Doctor Casino), Friday, 15 November 2019 14:13 (six years ago)

Gotta admit though, that the blurred Photobucket images make it more of a challenge.

Do we have a dictionary of ILX memes?

pomenitul, Thursday, 30 January 2020 12:16 (six years ago)

Think I asked for an ILX glossary a couple of years ago and was completely ignored.

Wuhan!! Got You All in Check (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Thursday, 30 January 2020 12:17 (six years ago)

I guess ILXors are protective of their shibboleths.

pomenitul, Thursday, 30 January 2020 12:18 (six years ago)

That's what I thought at the time, now I think it's more about a lack of ownership over this stuff and an ambivalence about giving an easy way in to what are perceived as low-quality posters. Also maybe people don't realise quite how much there is, I even forget that "otm" isn't really commonly used outside here.

Lack of ownership def, but I don't believe the above to be the case. It's more a question of: where to start? I believe there's a thread accompanying santorum.jpg, which covers some ground, but who has the time/energy/desire to compile all of ilx's memes?

You are referring to Conference Call Dot Biz

inspired by Hendrix thread title... been wondering for a while, is there a thread featuring examples of guitarists/vocalists throwing to the guitar solo with a corny line? are there enough examples for this to be threadworthy? a fairly boutique enquiry, I will freely allow.

(IMO all-time best example being 'alright doll-face, come on and bore me')
