i write about declining role of orchestras in broadway musicals & related stuff (union strikes, house minimums, issues in collective bargaining agreements, producers' point of view ('we'd rather not pay for them!' actually there is more to it but whatever), virtual orchestras, and some history of the development of musicals from broadway's 'golden age' to today). sort of. this is a rough draft but i really haven't had time to do all the research i want to so i'm a bit screwed. the kicker is that i don't really like broadway, but i fear for musician jobs.

I don't know, the book is insanely clear and I like doing math problems that I can actually come up with the right answer for. I kinda like it, although trying to make it cool by referring to it as DA4Meds online with friends may have been taking it too far.

xpost Luckily I haven't had to calculate crazy stuff like that, Tom. I have been figuring out IV flow rates in drops per minute (gtt/min). The numbers are MUCH easier to work with.

but really the issue btw afm and the league is minimums and why should you have to hire 14 if the show only calls for 11 and i am like why does the show only call for 11? bc people really want to write it for 11 or bc they think that's the only way cheap producers will produce it?
