Listening to ILX Listen: 2017 Genre Thread Spotify Playlists

These roughly chronologically curated playlists are comprised of tracks available on Spotify's US catalogue that are discussed or relevant to conversation or name-dropped or recommended or excoriated by ILXors within their relevant ILM genre thread. The majority of tracks are released within the current year but I'm not picky about it if they're not.

Here's some history and (mostly applicable) past explanations of methodology and intention:

Metal is a bear to catalogue but I imagine I'll get around to it eventually. Otherwise, if there's a genre thread I'm missing, feel free to let me know and I can likely put it in the mix.

Notes telling me you gotten some enjoyment out of this work are welcome and encouraged to be left on this thread.

Attempts to get a rise out of me may be addressed to " Are you cool with forks making Spotify playlists out of every rolling thread without permission? "

Have a good year. I'm gonna go fly a kite.

STILL haven't had the gumption to tackle the nearly 1600 post long rolling metal thread but could maybe if anyone gave me a nudge or could argue a use for it. Otherwise, this seems a good place to also post this:

All them mothers should be up to date as of now. Anybody getting good use out of this work is encouraged to toss some laurels my way as I am inclined to maybe start letting this slide... or better yet if people want to volunteer to maintain for individual threads, I wouldn't mind just listening!

This includes the complete 77 tracks nomination playlist and every genre list above for nearly 4200 songs that were talked about on ILX this past year.
That's a thing that happened

So I did a little forksy thing and made a Spotify playlist for the Rolling Afropop/Afrobeats thread. Here's the link: ILM rolling Afropop / Afrobeats 2018.
I included some of the older tracks mentioned on the thread as well.
Ideally, it would save some people the hassle of clicking lots of YouTube links on a long (and possibly uninviting?) thread, while making others curious enough to start following and hopefully contributing to the thread. Or you could just enjoy all that great music, fine with me!
