Does anyone remember a thread where every poster was an animal? They all had names like Ossie Ostrich and Barbara Bear and so on. The thread title was something like "Harry Hamster's Thread for Animals Only", but I can't recall the exact words.

i have a vague memory of a good old nabisco post about the way people use irony (and "getting irony") to mark in-group/out-group status on the internet...does that ring any bells?

seems people have gotten a little too creative with the naming of wdyll threads (the last one that shows up on a search for wdyll is from june of this year) and they're now impossible to find

flopson, Monday, 14 September 2015 16:52 (ten years ago)

do you look like what, september 2015?

drash, Monday, 14 September 2015 18:50 (ten years ago)

hehe, sorry! i named that one. if you search for what do you look like 2015 it's the first result, but i should have added (wdyll) to it as well

There used to be a thread that might have been kept in I Love Vinyl that was made up of the radio station playlists of a few different ILXORS. I found so much great music through those playlists but I don't know whatever became of the thread.... anyone have any idea?

is this the thread where we ask if there's a thread for a particular subject? feel like there was another one

anyway, is there a cathc-all thread for worthwhile online reading material? like a thread where you can post links to articles, essays etc. that might help other users with boring desk jobs not feel like they're doing something remotely meaningful in their browser

Is there an ILM thread for misleading names of acts, ie names of bands (or solo artists) that give a very different impression from what the music actually sounds like? Lots of worst band names threads, but this is something more specific.
