So yeah, a dream that involved not only baseball, but fantasy baseball and POSTING ON THE INTERNET about it. Yikes.

LOL @ mattbot's Mark Prior dream.
I am getting ready to leave for Dodger Stadium and I just realized I had an anxiety dream where a high pop-up foul was falling towards me. Everyone in the upper deck and mezzanine was screaming at me to catch the ball. Thankfully, it fell on someone else.
I don't like when the foul balls come at me. Too much pressure.

i know what you mean. i was at a game last year and a hard hit foul ball came at me in the stands - grazed the hand of a dude a few rows infront of me - went over my glove and nailed the pregnant lady behind me in the side. i felt really guilty - like if their kid has epilepsy it will be my fault.

Today I dreamed that last night, one of my fantasy guys went 4-for-5 inc. 3 homers, but I had him on the bench. In my dream I was thinking that if I woke up quick enough, I could go back to yesterday and put him in the day's lineup. But I kept falling asleep.

last night i dreamt that i was in a cactus league game playing third base for the diamondbacks (????). i basically made like five errors -- mostly throwing -- until kirk gibson told me to go play in the outfield instead. when i got out there, there were already three outfielders so i yelled to the dugout 'where do you want me to play?' and gibson yelled back 'i don't care!'
for some reason i never got to bat. i knew i was going to be cut after the game, but happily i woke up before that happened.
the dreams in which i am awesome are a lot better.

I don't remember ever having a baseball dream before in my life, but last night I dreamed Fredi was fired. No explanation, just "Braves Fire Manager" and then I woke up.

I had one last night, and don't remember the details. I was covering the Mets, and Wright was on Skype or something in the clubhouse. (I've never seen Skype used.)

btw the other night i dreamt a great number of impossible things: i was the kansas city royals' fifth outfielder. the royals were managed by joe maddon. and we were playing the yankees in the world series. (you'd think my subconscious would know better than to pit two al teams against each other, but perhaps it was playing a deeper game.)
we were down 3-1 in the series and 16-3 in game five when maddon pulled the third baseman and put me in as an actual fourth outfielder, along the left-field line. as a life-long infielder, i was basically praying that nothing was hit to me -- judging outfield flies is a different thing entirely. somehow, through no impetus of mine, the royals came back to win, 17-16, sending the series back to new york.
and that was it. i dreamed of salvaging a vague sense of honor in a game 5, not winning or anything. also, my subconscious seems to have a thing about superfluous outfielders.

I never recall any kind of detail in dreams, that's wild

dreamt that i was watching an episode of M*A*S*H and clayton kershaw was playing a wounded soldier. in the dream i was trying to do calculations about kershaw's age and M*A*S*H having ended 40 years ago, but to no avail
same night i dreamt that the ace of my high school team, left-hander d4vid j4g0dzynski, was coming on in relief for, i think, the padres. for some reason they let him bat in the bottom of the inning and he clubbed the first pitch off the netting on the right-field pole

big kid; he could totally hit it that far if you grooved one down and in

dreamt that i was playing in philadelphia -- for the cardinals, i think, or perhaps the mets. seventh inning and we were up by some ridiculous score like 30-3 and the phillies had committed double-digit errors
i was standing on second -- unclear how i got there; presumably one of the errors -- and the next batter was a dead-pull lefty so the phillies put on a massive shift with the third baseman playing almost up the middle
seeing no one covering or even near third, i instinctively took off and trotted in easily, at which point everyone went nuts about unwritten rules and did i have no respect for the game etc etc
woke up before i got a chance to get one of those chin guard extensions for my helmet for whenever i batted next
