I am now fully into Nootbaar cos of his adorable WBC coverage and reading up on him! Guy seems like a gem and he’s still pretty young! Insanely cute friendship with Ohtani!

Cal Raleigh, I watched most of his playoff games last year and I love him. The Athletic ran a piece a few days ago about how he’s nicknamed Big Dumper cos he’s got a big catcher’s ass. I feel for him, but I don’t.

That walkoff home run was great. He seems to have a great rapport with the staff, I think he and Gilbert came up together?

I could really name half the Mariners but let’s just say Cal, Julio and JP, two of whom are in this video. JP’s had a slow spring and hopefully his actual season picks up (though I think he is carrying an injury atm?)

Adley Rutschman, duh. He seems very poised for such big expectations and I hope he has an incredible first full season.

I’ve got a whole thread about the king of vibes Triston Casas right here.

None of the current SF Giants are favourites to me like the WS core that I’ve seen but I hope that will change.

Tim Anderson! His WBC ending wasn’t all that great but otherwise he had a good tournament and I want him to do well insofar as that’s possible on the White Sox? He made fun of himself on the White Sox Instagram comments and generally seems like a laugh. Also, he dresses well unlike 99% of MLB players.

Oh and Teoscar! I really liked him even when he was on the Blue Jays last postseason and I’m so happy he’s a Mariner now!

hmmm probably Judge.

Adopted, pretty humble, good sense of humor*, grew up in a farm town (outside of Stockton), played college ball in another farmtown (Fresno), signed to the Yankees (who completely fucked him by keeping him out of the majors for almost 3 seasons), hit a HR in his first MLB at-bat, then did some other stuff after that I think.... but basically a farm kid who not only made it in NYY but become the best hitter in the game is the stuff of legends.

*during his insane April of his rookie season, he did a "man on the street" segment on Fallon with the high sophisticated disguise of... a pair of Clark Kent glasses (he's 6'7"/280#).

Everyone mentioned rules.

Triston McKenzie is my fav pitcher currently and i hope he doesnt break.

Mookie is the illest.

The decaying generation of pitchers who have started throwing slop are always welcome (Kershaw, Rich Hill)

My wiiiife thinks all the round dudes are hilarious so i am partial to the tellez/vogelbach/kirk bowling ball army because they amuse her and therefore amuse me.

Always like Teoscar a lot too. Alejandro Kirk is another dude I adore.
