Mike Davis has passed. He was my favorite writer, and through coincidence and his down to earth nature I got to know him personally. As a human being he was a hundred times what he was as a writer. Everyone dies but I long irrationally believed maybe somehow we’d never lose Mike.

Haven't seen an official obit yet but there's a number of FB/twitter posts circulating saying that R&B/disco singer Geraldine Hunt has passed - whenever I think of my all-time favorite disco singles, "Can't Fake the Feeling" is always one of the first tracks that comes to mind. RIP
