Charity Shield was against all odds an actually great game. Haaland ok did fuckall eventual, but I coould see him dominating the next season, he's a fucken beast

I thought it was kind of telling that he spent an hour or so making smart runs off the shoulder with no one picking him out in favour of playing a safe backwards or sideways ball

within 15 seconds of Nunez coming on Liverpool were pinging balls over the top for him to chase every time they got on the ball.

It almost certainly won’t make a difference in the long run but it’s fucking criminal how boring city are with the talent they’ve got

Haaland is going to score boatloads. Don’t fancy having to look at his mug constantly, but he’s built for the PL.

He would score boatloads anywhere he played tbf

there is a reality in which Grealish wide on the left with Haaland up top is a joyfully destructive wrecking machine but i don't think this will go down like that. Haaland will score for fun and City will be unstoppable anyway but whatever else it may be it doesn't look like being an aesthetic triumph

which is not a judgement on 70 mins of a young player making his debut in a meaningless pre-season friendly so much as a condemnation of Guardiola's City in the round. boring cunts.
