Wondered how he ate and performed other basic functions. Or does he sleep in his chair and eo on.
Not seen his face in the bathroom mirror so is he growing a s8kh like beard under the mask. Didn't see sleeping area or restroom on the ship so does he open a window or have a spider help him out with that.
I mean c'mon the public has a right to know surely.
& no shower unit must leave him pretty ripe innit.

They actually did show the ship’s “head” in the first ep. (sadly).

oh did they, must have missed it.

Stevolende, Wednesday, 9 December 2020 20:03 (three years ago) link

Yeah, I think my first comment in this thread related to it... I would happily have seen 9 more Star Wars movies, and 4 more TV series, without encountering a space toilet!

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Thursday, 10 December 2020 23:18 (three years ago) link

And apparently seven or eight other new shows yet to be announced? Unclear if the "10" they referenced during today's call includes Mando or not.

soaring skrrrtpeggios (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Thursday, 10 December 2020 23:18 (three years ago) link

gotta try clone wars from the beginning AGAIN.

oh wait, it's a pandemic and I have nothing to do

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Thursday, 10 December 2020 23:18 (three years ago) link

I've seen scattered episodes of Clone Wars before, but just started over watching it through from the start with my son. Digging it a lot so far.

soaring skrrrtpeggios (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Thursday, 10 December 2020 23:20 (three years ago) link

Warning you that the first two seasons are kinda dogs with some good points, but the show gets better quickly around season 3. By the end I didn't regret investing in it, though it took me years to finally finish it

Nhex, Thursday, 10 December 2020 23:21 (three years ago) link

man, i have a hard time with shows like that. it's like making nachos and saying "well the outer layer is all feces and pubic hair but once you eat all that the bottom is really fuckin' tasty"

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Thursday, 10 December 2020 23:22 (three years ago) link

is there like an ep guide for the essential eps of those seasons

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Thursday, 10 December 2020 23:23 (three years ago) link

this is the whole reason I've put off Babylon 5

Lover of Nixon (or LON for short) (Neanderthal), Thursday, 10 December 2020 23:23 (three years ago) link

That's why it helps to watch it with an excited 9 year-old, he gets so excited by the cameos and references that it still ends up kinda fun to watch, even during the slow episodes.

soaring skrrrtpeggios (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Thursday, 10 December 2020 23:26 (three years ago) link

I fear massive diminishing returns.

What, no Tangerine Dream soundtrack!?

Dan I., Saturday, 12 December 2020 00:51 (three years ago) link

there's still a sense of moral satisfaction when a show makes it absolutely clear that a guy is utterly terrible and should be shot only for him, inevitably, to get shot

what a ghoul

GOOD EP

Guayaquil (eephus!), Saturday, 12 December 2020 02:11 (three years ago) link

I'm surprised people seem kind of meh, I though on the level of pure Star Wars action this was maybe the best of the season! Fantastically shot and the ghoulish guy out-menaced Giancarlo Esposito which is no easy task.

Guayaquil (eephus!), Saturday, 12 December 2020 02:12 (three years ago) link

yeah, that coda was pure cheese in a good way

the bit about how much he means to Mando </3

mh, Saturday, 12 December 2020 03:53 (three years ago) link

It was pretty sweet. Doesn't put the episode over the top considering there wasn't a single shot of Grogster

maf you one two (maffew12), Saturday, 12 December 2020 03:58 (three years ago) link

I get the Tangerine Dream soundtrack I assume is a reference to Sorcerer...I came here to see if anyone was namedropping Wages of Fear. I quite liked this episode.

dan selzer, Saturday, 12 December 2020 04:14 (three years ago) link

i've got a couple friends who i talk to about this show and I mentioned I thought the truck sequence was referencing an old french thriller they might enjoy and got some pretty hard eyerolls

Dug this, good combination of set pieces and melodrama for me. 👍

pence's eye juice (Hunt3r), Saturday, 12 December 2020 04:35 (three years ago) link

xp I was thinking of Wages of Fear too! Though of course the Tarantino refs overshadowed that pretty quickly

Nhex, Saturday, 12 December 2020 05:13 (three years ago) link

Just caught up on the first 7 episodes and I'm so impressed thus far. After the OG trilogy, Mando S2 is my next favorite SW thing. The first season had some bad episodes, and I see not everyone is hot on all the episodes this season, but all 7 have worked for me. Dawson is so perfect as Ahsoka - there's something about the writing and her acting that connects perfectly to the character in Clone Wars (haven't seen Rebels), even though so many years have passed. I thought the quiet moments between her, Mando, and the Child were wonderful

I wonder if there will be any lasting impact to Mando having to show his face

Vinnie, Saturday, 12 December 2020 08:44 (three years ago) link

lmao the Office Space reference was unexpected

Roz, Saturday, 12 December 2020 11:14 (three years ago) link
