gonna be weird to have a poll with the smurfs and the simpsons, gonna be hard to see the kids' shows having much of a shot in this poll.

I've been thinking that The Simpsons is likely to get more of the shaft than it deserves in the final tally. It's the only entry here that I'd recommend splitting up into its good and shitty eras.

i could see it being a victim of everyone assuming everyone else will vote for it.

much like monty python before it, I sometimes have a hard time deciding if the simpsons end up being a cultural net gain or loss

i also meant to nominate Noozles, and would vote for it given a long enough ballot - another early exposure for me to the idea that a cartoon could have a beginning and an end. ayers rock and koala-walla-land loomed large in my imagination for a short period of time.

Ohhhh yeah. That was the other koala cartoon Nickelodeon confusingly aired around the same time as The Adventures of the Little Koala.

theme song side poll is a great idea. a hoy hoy's TV themes poll only had i think twelve or thirteen animated show themes make the top 100, so there's plenty of undisturbed ground there, and there are tons of shows in the noms list that i would never vote for, which nonetheless had awesome theme tunes.
