Well, it may be “sadly” that it no longer exists, but I live gladly in one of the houses it built so I don’t feel too bad we can’t all live out in an old growth forest under the dripping trees gathering acorns in the muck.

Lesbians domicile
You would be wondering on seeing the title of this post. But, what’s there to mock at it, there is no mockery, yet they are humans, they also have emotions and relations. They are lot better than the ones who have aids. So, equality must be given to all kinds of people, after all they are humans. Considering this fact, a website has been established for lesbians. Here they can come and chat with them, share their experiences, unveiling their desires and so on. There is absolutely nothing wrong in Lesbian Dating as long as they value the relationship. What does the society think about them isn’t important, what do they think about themselves is important.

A DNA test has confirmed that "Joe the Plumber," the everyvoter who rose to fame thanks to repeated mentions in last week's presidential debate, is the father of Sarah Palin's 6-month-old son, Trig. In the highest-rated episode in the history of Maury, the Alaska governor confronted blue-collar Ohioan Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher for failing to acknowledge paternity. Upon hearing that he was, in fact, the father, Wurzelbacher stormed off the stage without comment, as Palin repeatedly shouted, "I told you! I told you!" while wagging her right index finger at the studio audience.

Following the theoretical paradigm established by Marjorie Garber in her brilliant work on cross-dressing, one might say that Marie Antoinette dressed like a male ruler in order to seem to have (phallic, masculine) powers that she lacked. Such a reading is wholly supported by Marie Antoinette's own later confession to her brother Joseph Ⅱ that she sought to cultivate "an appearance of [political] credit" at court, even though she had none in reality. This letter is discussed at length in Chapter Five, below.) This "fetishistic" gesture - covering over an originary lack by means of an artificial phallus - becomes even more interesting when one notes that for Freud, the conventional female response to "penis envy" is to have a baby. As I have emphasized throughout this chapter, virtually the only avenue available to a French consort was child-bearing. In this sense, Garber's psychoanalytic understanding of cross-dressing is almost uncannily appropriate for Marie Antoinette's situation at Versailles: lacking the standard, compensatory recourse to motherhood, the young dauphine addressed her political vulnerability by endeavoring to appear what she was not: a powerful man. See Majorie Garber, Vested Interests: Cross-Dressing and Cultural Anxiety (New York: Routledge, 1992), especially Chapter 5, "Fetish Envy." 118-127. I particularly appreciate Garber's reading of a performance in which Madonna, imitating Michael Jackson ( the so-called King of Pop, I might add), grabbed her crotch: "Squeezing the crotch of her pants became for her, onstage, the moment of the claim to empowered transvestism, to seem rather than merely to have or to be - not (the distinction is important) just a claim to empowered womanhood" (127). In another, more theoretically oriented study, it would be possible, and fascinating , to explore many more of Marie Antoinette's costumes from the point of view of "empowered transvestism": I am thinking in particular of the strikingly phallic hairstyles - poufs - which I discuss in more sociocultural terms in Chapter 5.
