Its been 6 years since I've been single, but I never found this to be true as a straight male. Casual "poon" (or even just "hooking up") was almost non-existent once I left college. 99% of the girls I ended up being involved with in any sort of casual basis were people I met through friends or already knew somehow. Striking up conversations with random strangers in public always always blew up in my face.

I mean, obviously I'm the common denominator there and it says more about me than anything else, but I've never really felt like I was horribly awkward in social situations. I mean, getting to know people and making friends? I'm generally pretty awesome at that. But if I've ever gone into it with any inkling of sexual attraction, it just never happened.

I was a little trite saying that, I must admit. I just always got the impression guys found it really easy to score if they didnt mind who they picked up at a bar, but thats a horrible generalisation and I retract it.

Well, there was my problem! I had relatively high standards and morals (i.e. no taking advantage of really drunk people).

But I feel like I'm taking this thread way more seriously than I should. Someone post an imagebomb zing for me.

In the most ideal of situations, a bill like FOSTA *could* play a role in fighting off sex trafficking. In reality though, the bill (as is the case here) is causing a chilling effect that gooses sites like Craigslist to close up at least part of their shop and actively hurts consenting sex workers who rely on the website.
