Can anyone name all the clusterfuck canon-discussing music threads happening right now? I keep wandering into innocuous looking threads to see the same discussion that's happening in a dozen other threads.

i will name them "ILM"

when a buncha threads are crammed into a tiny space and their tails get all tangled up; and they can't even pull apart.
and it gets awesome. eventually, their bodies fuse together and they form a multi-headed live music crit king and we saw one

Technically should probably be "Music Crit Make Me Cry" but if we could hive it all off so ILM turns into a board of people loving some music

i really don't mean to get all meta and 'be a dick' or w/e but it seems to me its the same person starting that argument on all those threads and a different half dozen people taking the bait on each

The most plausible scenario to me is one or more members of the group of people who organized AWK as a merchandising interest
split not too amicably, forcing Andrew to assume the role full-time, but because these ex-AWKers held some part of the domestic album release rights, AWK group
could not release close calls etc... for a while.

It might very well be that this was planned all along, but it doesn't make much sense to delay an album release to conjure up the mystique of legal trouble.
If there is any consistency in how AWK operates, it is in taking full advantage of any synergistic opportunities that comes his way.

There is a kind of evil in this "embrace everything" attitude. You might not think it's possible to cheapen a song like "It's time to party" by having it appear in an expedia commercial, but both the music and its fans are degraded just a little bit by that.

i dunno, you have to appreciate that it is successful in delivering its own kind of enlightenment which may be different from your "preconceptions" of "enlightenment"
