I glossed over that one after first listen but went back recently and yeah, it’s nice! I prefer telepath’s slushwave/phaserwave stuff but this is a welcomed release for sure.

That was one of the first ones I got into in the genre, though in retrospect it seems more chillwave than vwave.

I remember searching around in vain to find out what "mindless" was sampled from - didn't know who George Clanton was obviously

there's something to be said about how rediscovering stuff you used to love 15-20 years ago through YouTube or downloading VGMs from games you had fond memories of never really quite captures the magic you used to feel. but this album (despite being mostly sample-free) actually seems to nail it. for example a track like "peter" - I remember a whole bunch of stuff sounding like that
