In all sincerity, why do people care about this guy? I don't hear any specific edge he might have over his peers? What's the big deal?

I was intrigued after that Startrekman thread so I google searched him, he pretty much only deals in intense keyboard threads.

Why does everyone always "wtf" at startrekman? he's probably my favorite ilxor.

Dan I., Tuesday, 28 August 2007 03:27 (eighteen years ago)

I guess maybe he has the one aspie obsession I kind've respect.

Dan I., Tuesday, 28 August 2007 03:28 (eighteen years ago)

oh shit I said "kind've" again, sorry.

Dan I., Tuesday, 28 August 2007 03:30 (eighteen years ago)

Certainly the rhythmic part of Latin American music is more obvious in the parts of the continent that had a lot of slave trade. But that doesn't make the Tango any lesser of course.

Well? I hate indie people and all the indie cliches and all the indie scene, but I love music. Its a fucking horrible predicament. I don't know anyone who really likes music that I don't think is a freak (in the worst way, no smart asses saying I love being a freak please) or a weirdo, in fact all my friends have little or no interest in music which means I've noone to talk about music with which is odd because its my only interest. Is there an anonymous club or something?

Lithium
Lamictal
Klonipin
Prozac
Advair
Albuterol
A special lady pill
birth control (my insurance will not cover an IUD, arggh!)
Allegra
soon to be a synthetic thyroid hormone

I think that's it. . .

via tehresa:

Last night there were about half a dozen art openings on the same street in E2. I learned, or was told:

The girls who made the biggest impact were a pair of perfectly time-capsuled a-la Doris Day Japanese art nerds with clear-resin but proper '50s hornrim librarian specs. Anna could rock all these dresses without appearing that nerdlike.

Mario Testino has death breath.

Peopole *still* talking about Isabella Blow - the Dame Edith Sitwell type above is totally channelling Issy. There are a lot of baby Blows knocking around the artier side of fashion; I think it's a forgiving look when orthodonture is an issue.

The grey knee-high socks thing is DIY Miu Miu a/w 07. If you want ones that stay up, Wolford is your friend but many also go the Westwood route. I will let you know how it goes with Mary Janes.

I would lol at the name dropping if only I knew who the hell she was talking about.

Pleasant Plains, Friday, 7 September 2007 18:58 (eighteen years ago)

Isabella Blow commited suicide. She was a muse to a few fashion designers/magazines/something or other. Used to wear outrageous hats.

Testino's a photographer.

Miu Miu: Prada. Wolford a sock brand. Westwood I suspect is Vivienne.

I'm a sad bitch for knowing all this, aren't I? :-(

stevienixed, Friday, 7 September 2007 20:55 (eighteen years ago)

miu miu is not prada!

elmo argonaut, Friday, 7 September 2007 21:03 (eighteen years ago)

stevienixed, Friday, 7 September 2007 21:15 (eighteen years ago)

miu miu = miuccia prada.

and what, Friday, 7 September 2007 23:02 (eighteen years ago)

In a totally :D way:

The word "fisted" is a big part of it for me. You know, the internet has spoiled a lot of innocent things for me. Most anything I see on tv makes me think what fetish site that screen cap will end up on. "There's one for the stiletto heels getting stuck in mud sites." "Oh, that's ending up with the sneezing porn." "Furries, furries, furries...who can really argue for intelligent design when I know what you're pondering while watching this cartoon?"
