Weekend College!

My nursing program is a weekends and evening program designed for working people. We all have bachelor's degrees already, in fact. While I don't have a job, I have to work around having kids; I've been home with them forever, so I'm working around my husband's work hours, really.

Anyway, it's supposed to be every other weekend, but it doesn't always work that way. We have class tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and then again next Sunday. It's kind of exhausting, tbh. Especially when tomorrow will be followed by Monday night, from 6 to 9:30 pm.

Probably more detailed than I needed to get, but... there it is.

I think we might be the only program at St. Kate's - which is a Catholic college - that has class on Sunday mornings as well as afternoons. The upside is finding a decent parking place, though.

that's pretty cool even though it sounds, you know, fucking impossible. good for you, though.

okay, now i go to a party. night-night.

As for the fucking impossible - yeah, it feels that way sometimes. But two weeks into summer break, I guarantee I will be crawling the walls with boredom.

Hello chaps! I cycled again this morning, but ended up slightly comically trying to outrun the rain (and - just - succeeding). So only 13 miles, but it felt GOOD. Now sitting on my bed watching the London Marathon and drinking a root beer.

Ned is finally cool! Mark is having a relaxing morning! And I'm going to go off and squabble learn about Evidence Based Nursing and Total Parenteral Nutrition! RAH!!!

showed my mom the new house yesterday and K and her spent a portion of the afternoon chasing each other around the main floor and giggling. good times.

my father, meanwhile, inspected the structure and deemed it free from defects. also identified that the gardens in the back are full of flowering perennials.
