jesus christ i am booking my ticket to the US tomorrow. spoke to the travel agent today, then just had to wait to confirm domestic flights. july 10! i can't believe this is finally happening. i may have to start a thread so i don't clog up the mollingifibert thread with my endless excited squeals of 'OMG OMG OMG I GO TO AMERICA' for the next three months.

also a lovely ilxor has offered to introduce me to some friends of his who live in oakland so that i will actually get to know some people.

Yeah I hope so - I am slightly concerned that the of two guys I am going with, one is much stronger than me and the other has a much stronger sense of achieving TO THE MAX than me. It will be pretty miserable if I'm pedaling desperately to stay with them as they zoom ahead, especially since there's 190 miles to cover (in 3 days).

On the plus side, it'll be summer, in France, with numerous bar and cheese stops. Nom.

I am going to Michigan this summer (wheeee?!) and we'll be at Disney World over Thanksgiving. But whoa, Paris and Hawaii sound so much cooler! And honestly, I want to go back to California a lot, too. ENVYING YOU ALL NOW

guys it is sooooooooo beautiful today in new york! 60s and sunny and there are spring flowers (and even spring sneezing for me!). i had to go across campus to pick something up and it was soooo nice i did not want to come back to my flourescent office :(

It's April 10, ffs. I wouldn't mind the rain, it is the part with the cold, snow, and bad roads that should be over by now.

i have been really bipolar lately in that during the day i am all go-getter ready to take on the world and then when i get home at night i sink into a crazy depressive funk.
i hope spring fixes this.

tehresa - I think you are my opposite; I tend to be in a depressive funk during the day and then at night I wake up and want to GO GO GO. Probably this has something to do with the fact that I actually get out sometimes in the evenings (even if it is just for class - I tend to get kind of wound up). But yes, maybe spring will make the days better, too. (Assuming spring even comes to MN this year.)

we will get spring for a few hours, and then it will be crockpot steambath time

if the evening depresso would let me go to bed on time, i wouldn't mind it. but i also get out of class at 9:30 and usally get home around 10-10:15, so then i am UP FOREVER either doing hw or winding down, but stewing about it.

tehresa, plz come study with me; we will accomplish nothing, probably, but it would be fun.

sara i <3 study dates - sometimes they are more effective than when left to my own devices (i tend to get distracted easily by things like, oh, say, the internets). favorite ever was last semester when my friend and i went through 2 bottles of wine and then moved on to the bar near her house while studying for 2 of our finals: we both got As on both of them!
