Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 16:24 (eighteen years ago)

I'm not sure I can fathom buying Schlitz beer, is the thing.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:16 (eighteen years ago)

I CAN GUIDE YOU, I CAN SHOW YOU THE WAY

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:18 (eighteen years ago)

you see the thing about schlitz beer is that it has alcohol and it is beer and what was i talking about again

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:18 (eighteen years ago)

I now know what the housewarming party will be like. And plenty of silver trays for all.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:19 (eighteen years ago)

I am diseased.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:50 (eighteen years ago)

jessie - you're sick? What's wrong?

John, I appreciate your guidance in these matters.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:51 (eighteen years ago)

there a chinese food place in town called "The #1 Chinese Food"

upper respiratory infection.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:52 (eighteen years ago)

hey it's feed a cold starve a fever right?

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:52 (eighteen years ago)

I think they basically say you should try to eat in either case these days.
Because nutrients are good for you or some nonsense like that.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:53 (eighteen years ago)

google says yes! I'm ordering a pizza.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:53 (eighteen years ago)

So eat your Chinese food if you dare!

Are you on teh radio this afternoon - in mere moments - jessie?

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:54 (eighteen years ago)

mmmmm pizza >>>>> Chinese food (at least here in Northfield, where all the Chinese food is very questionable in terms of quality)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:55 (eighteen years ago)

no, I'm at home sounding like a dying cat.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:55 (eighteen years ago)

Chinese food outside of Chinatown is pretty awful.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:55 (eighteen years ago)

;_; at lack of radio show.

I suppose this is a cosmic sign that I should work on some homework or something.

We are so far from a Chinatown that it is also very ;_;

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:57 (eighteen years ago)

there is an awesome chinese restaurant in my hometown. in the shopping center with the nail salon and the supercuts and the bi-lo.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:57 (eighteen years ago)

What on earth is a "bi-lo?!"

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 17:58 (eighteen years ago)

a grocery store for middle-class people.

on the rich----------------poor scale in NC it is like this: harris teeter-------bi-lo-----food lion------winn-dixie(shut down)/aldi

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:00 (eighteen years ago)

I learn so much from reading this thread. THX!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:01 (eighteen years ago)

the greatest "chinese" restaurant in the world is Leo's Chow Mein in east st. paul. they have an all you can eat buffet where the waitresses walk around with trays full of food and force it on you. there is nothing vegetarian included (even the fresh potato chips have little bits of pork clinging to them). it costs 5.95 including tax with free oolong ice tea.

this point is inarguable, do not try, god will smite you

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:03 (eighteen years ago)

also, KARP is the greatest house-cleaning soundtrack in the world

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:03 (eighteen years ago)

also dan i am having a V8. take that.

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:05 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, do I want to have waitresses forcing food on me?

Maybe I do. I will make a mental note about this place.

I don't know what KARP is. (It reminds me of K31th K4rp1nsk3, though.)

DAN JOHN IS IMBIBING SOMETHING WITH NUTRIENTS. I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY NOW

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:11 (eighteen years ago)

it is the sort of music that apparently gives the acupunture place below my apartment the urge to bang on my floor with a broom of some kind.

NO DICE THIS IS REVENGE FOR BURNING INCENSE THAT SMELLS LIKE CATSHIT EVERY AFTERNOON FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:14 (eighteen years ago)

there's a chinese place near my school called "OK Chinese"

max, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:15 (eighteen years ago)

guess how the food is

max, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:15 (eighteen years ago)

might i mention that when choosing apartments in the future, always remember that hardwood floors, while charming, are a permeable odor barrier

xpost i like the humility of that

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:15 (eighteen years ago)

Just be careful, John. Those acupuncture people have NEEDLES

ha ha max - at least they sound reality-based and honest!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:16 (eighteen years ago)

hello and welcome to "adequate french restaurant", we're on the corner next to "gastrointestinal whirlwind curry house"

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:16 (eighteen years ago)

I would totally give those restaurants a try.

xpost I look forward to John's forthcoming guide to shopping for a home. I'm pretty sure it will have tips that no one else has thought of.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:18 (eighteen years ago)

I like an adequate French onion soup as well as anyone else.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:19 (eighteen years ago)

there has been serious discussion of the viability of running beer lines through the old clothes chute

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:20 (eighteen years ago)

no i am not kidding

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:20 (eighteen years ago)

I CAN GUIDE YOU, I CAN SHOW YOU THE WAY
JJ WILL LEAD U THROUGH THE ZONE

tehresa, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:21 (eighteen years ago)

Wait, at your apartment or at the new house? xpost

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:21 (eighteen years ago)

jessie that is fascinating re: bi-lo bc in SC (at least in my town), it used to be that harris teeter - bi-lo - winn dixie thang, but lately it is PUBLIX ----- wal-mart -- bi-lo. harris teeter died and bi-lo got gross.

tehresa, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:22 (eighteen years ago)

new house

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:23 (eighteen years ago)

is where the beer lines would be done

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:23 (eighteen years ago)

I haven't lived in a house with a laundry chute since I was in grade school! I kind of envy that, whatever you do with it.

(Also I really want to SEE the actual beer lines if you do that! I promise not to toss any laundry into your beer.)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 18:25 (eighteen years ago)

ok, we are off to buy a house now i guess

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 19:02 (eighteen years ago)

You will get used to adjusting your budget to compensate, though. (Maybe go out less but have people over more... it's not THAT bad, DANIEL.)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 19:32 (eighteen years ago)

tehresa, Wednesday, 9 April 2008 19:44 (eighteen years ago)
