tehresa, Saturday, 5 April 2008 23:28 (eighteen years ago)

i accidentally invited a whole bunch of people to a scramble game on facebook, then deleted myself out of it - thinking that it would delete the whole game. but it doesn't.

sara, that is why you are involved in a mysterious scramble game with jordan.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:38 (eighteen years ago)

rubyredd, add me on faceboook -- i don't even know your real name

remy bean, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:40 (eighteen years ago)

what is a scramble game? it sounds rambunctious.

Curt1s Stephens, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:43 (eighteen years ago)

Ha, I didn't even notice that you weren't in that game anymore, RR!

remy, HSTNGS crew cannot wait to meet you in person, I am SURE!

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:45 (eighteen years ago)

scramble is boggle for facebook.

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:46 (eighteen years ago)

Scramble is kind of like computer Boggle, and RR is REALLY good at it. I am slowly, slooooowly improving.

xp

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:46 (eighteen years ago)

remy i found you and added you.

sara i'm the second worst player i know - you are the worst :) :) :) (i'm teasing)

curt1s i will start a game with you!

Rubyredd, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:47 (eighteen years ago)

The sad part is that I'm not the worst player that I know!

It's sad for all of us, really...

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:48 (eighteen years ago)

i am a lot better at boggle in person than on fb :-\

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:49 (eighteen years ago)

I like that I can rotate the board online; I usually find new words that way.

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:50 (eighteen years ago)

tehresa, I keep thinking that I see a person on fb who might be you, but then I don't know, so I don't add them as as fb friend. Because what if it is NOT YOU?!

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:51 (eighteen years ago)

I think I'm still baffled by the etiquette of "friending" people, tbh

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 00:51 (eighteen years ago)

it is probably me! if it is someone who is friend w/ many ilxors on facebook! add away! if it's not me, some other t-dawg will be flattered?

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 01:10 (eighteen years ago)

i am also baffled by lots of netiquette stuff

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 01:11 (eighteen years ago)

all of itr that is on fb and not already my friend, you are welcome to friend me. look for me in the i love everything group, my first name is just1n3.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 6 April 2008 01:31 (eighteen years ago)

I will look whenn I get a chance tehresa! (lol "t-dawg")

Tonight, I will treadmill my cares away, do laundry, and study. I wish I could get really excited about this plan, but... not so much.

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 01:43 (eighteen years ago)

Rubyredd, Sunday, 6 April 2008 03:33 (eighteen years ago)

Rubyredd, Sunday, 6 April 2008 03:33 (eighteen years ago)

i am watching many episodes of friday night lights lol

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 03:39 (eighteen years ago)

is that the same as the movie? because that movie was cool.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 6 April 2008 03:49 (eighteen years ago)

rubyredd, don't blame losing at scramble on the work computer.

ytth, Sunday, 6 April 2008 03:50 (eighteen years ago)

it is a tv series. i guess it was based on the movie, which i never saw? in fact, i never watched this show before last week bc i am not a football person. i always had a thing for kyle chandler, though. ever since early edition.

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 03:51 (eighteen years ago)

jordan, i've been letting you win and you know it.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 6 April 2008 03:59 (eighteen years ago)

I heard Friday Night Lights is really good! But I keep thinking, hmmm... a football show?! (I, also, am NOT a football person)

I have been watching the first season of Newsradio lately.

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:00 (eighteen years ago)

i'm not into football either, but i love football movies.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:03 (eighteen years ago)

the cornier the better

Rubyredd, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:03 (eighteen years ago)

it is grebt high school drama, too.

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:04 (eighteen years ago)

they confront *serious issues* like in 90210 but in texas?

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:04 (eighteen years ago)

sounds awesome!

Rubyredd, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:05 (eighteen years ago)

and they are all v. attractive.

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:06 (eighteen years ago)

peter berg movies are pretty much all awesome.
I tried watching the TV FNL but there were no crimes being solved using science and cussed tenacity so I gave up on it

El Tomboto, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:07 (eighteen years ago)

man, crime solving would up this show so much!!!

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:21 (eighteen years ago)

I think the only football movie I've ever watched any of is Rudy, and that is because I was at Notre Dame's sister school for my first year of college - which was the year before Rudy was filmed. Apparently some people I knew wound up as extras.

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:39 (eighteen years ago)

they filmed a bunch of leatherheads in my hometown. there is a very funny but kind of pathetic nytimes article about the extras trying to be important.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/19/movies/19leat.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&oref=slogin

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 04:43 (eighteen years ago)

Wow, that article has all kinds of crazy in it.

“We had a re-enactment of the cemetery scene last year,” said Tom Whitehead, a retired journalism professor in Natchitoches, La., speaking of his town’s enduring attachment to the movie “Steel Magnolias,” which was shot there two decades ago.

TWO DECADES AGO!!!

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:10 (eighteen years ago)

Also the fact that they are re-enacting a scene from a movie... it just seems a lot weirder, than, I don't know, historical re-enactments or whatever.

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:11 (eighteen years ago)

my favorite was "At least seven limousines will shuttle guests from the parking lot so they can arrive at the Camelot Cinemas in style."

SEVEN WHOLE LIMOUSINES OMG

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:27 (eighteen years ago)

lol, it is a FLEET of limousines!!!

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:31 (eighteen years ago)

Or I guess it is if your town is small enough.

(I should talk! But it seems like a lot of people rented limos for prom in Hastings - surely more than seven... and Hastings is many things, but a big city is is not)

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:32 (eighteen years ago)

yeah w/ all the sprawl it's actually not THAT small, which is why the sentence is so silly, making it sound like 'woah hueg 7 limos!'

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:33 (eighteen years ago)

I have never had the chance to be an extra, but I'm starting to think this is probably good because apparently it could distort my sense of reality. (Which, let's face it, is askew anyway.)

I'm also puzzling over them using S.C. to stand in for Duluth, MN, but I've never been to S.C. so maybe it makes all kinds of sense and I just don't know it. (?!)

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:37 (eighteen years ago)

Beautiful Costa Mesa, California, to stand in for Des Moines.

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:41 (eighteen years ago)

the football fields all probably look similar? i dunno about what the town of duluth looks like, though. i'm gonna have to see this movie now to watch for familiar spots.

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:41 (eighteen years ago)

so is article saying that ppl are gonna drive to the theater and then a limo will pick them up by their car and take them to the theater entrance? that would explain why only 7 and the word 'shuttle' duh...

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:43 (eighteen years ago)

way to be green, greenville!!

tehresa, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:43 (eighteen years ago)

...maybe all football fields look the same? (Although ND had the distinctive "Touchdown Jesus" mosaic that used to be visible through the goalposts, so maybe not).

xpost Your interpretation of what is going on in Greenville w/the limos may very well be the case. (Are your parents there? Can they investigate?)

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:47 (eighteen years ago)

I have just printed out a pile of 10,000 pieces of paper for nursing school and I still have a ton left. SO NOT GREEN

Sara R-C, Sunday, 6 April 2008 05:48 (eighteen years ago)

it was actually on the 4th oops! and they are in florida atm. i will check local news websites! ON THE CASE!
