mine is a masculine satchel, which is easily proven by the fact that it always contains an adjustable wrench, a leatherman, a multi-bit screwdriver (with hex heads for emergency IKEA assembly/disassembly), a mag lite and an eyeglass repair kit.

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 21:39 (eighteen years ago)

oh and a book of matches and a pocket version of the US declaration of independence, constitution, and bill of rights

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 21:41 (eighteen years ago)

I had to stop carrying messenger bags because the disproportionate allocation of weight due to all of the books, computers and CDs I carry around with me was fucking up my spine. I have returned BACKPACKS and I'm not straying from them until someone makes me.

Things in my BACKPACK at all times: a pencil, some random choral score, at least 5 CDs, a book, the hopes and dreams of a small child, quarters.

i've been thinking about switching to a BACKPACK

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 21:46 (eighteen years ago)

hahahahahahaha I just got hatemail from a friend I rickrolled

xp: DO IT, your shoulderblades will thank you

HI DERE, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 21:47 (eighteen years ago)

I was with dan on the backpack two-shoulders thing when I had to carry stuff other than the ludicrous assortment of tools described above and a couple magazines or a paperback to read on the train. after I mostly finished my grad school I switched back to one-shouldering it because the backpack 1. felt silly being mostly empty all the time 2. had a busted zipper

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 21:47 (eighteen years ago)

i was resisting the BACKPACK but now due to shoulder/back strain from giant bag of shit i am kind of lopsided and should probably just give in and get one.

tehresa, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 21:48 (eighteen years ago)

I think that carrying the shoulder bag full of junk plus my purse is killing my right shoulder. And yet I continue on because of inertia.

Things in the shoulder bag at all times: notebook, folder, binder full of print outs of notes, stethoscope, hairbrush, calendar, and between 1 and 3 textbooks of varying weights (mostly OMFG THIS IS HEAVY weight). Sometimes the blood pressure cuff comes along, too.

In the purse: wallet, car keys, pens/pencils, 5 or 6 lipsticks and glosses, cell phone, iPod, and digital camera.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 21:51 (eighteen years ago)

I think if I ever had to carry a purse, I would put a Fleshlight in it to make it more masculine.

HI DERE, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 21:58 (eighteen years ago)

lol

jergïns, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 22:12 (eighteen years ago)

wife always tryna get me a manbag -- i can't go for that (no can do)

mookieproof, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 23:03 (eighteen years ago)

i like manbags - then i don't have to carry my boyfriend's shit around for him.

Rubyredd, Tuesday, 1 April 2008 23:07 (eighteen years ago)

my gf is AWESOME at carrying my shit around. And I am thankful for it.

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 2 April 2008 01:32 (eighteen years ago)

remy, wtf? Bath water would have to be pretty hot to boil a baby in utero. I know they say "stay out of hot tubs" and everything, but...?!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 2 April 2008 01:32 (eighteen years ago)

Rubyredd - trust me, you can wait to eat American food.
