what happened?

I got hit by about a bazillion Italian words I can barely say that I need to memorize in the next week and a half, combined with learning the following pieces for a concert two weeks away:

Bernstein - Chichester Psalms (a bazillion words of Hebrew at a million words per second)
Pinkham - some silly thing based on the Creation story that's typical Pinkham hard nonsense
Barber - Agnus Dei (set to the music of "Adagio for Strings", super pretty and harder to sing than it looks on paper)

We are also doing Copland's "In The Beginning" but I know that one by heart thanks to doing it a million times with different groups.

I also have to clean up the condo over the next two weeks because we have out-of-town guests coming to stay with us and right now our place is a disaster.

So, I have to clean and study approx 2 hrs of music over the next week, 1 hr of which has to be memorized and 1 hr, 20 min of it that I can't physically say as quickly as the music goes.

so of course instead of cleaning or studying music I am doing this:

So after whining for a bit I got off my ass and folded a shit-ton of laundry and threw away a bunch of useless empty bags. If I do two loads of laundry a night for the next two weeks, I will catch up by the time our guests arrive.

Didn't listen to any of the music I have to learn, although I did grab the Crystal Castles album and put it on my iPhone.

yeah well I made a crunk ringtone track using the david lee roth vox track from runnin' with the devil. I have no idea why one of my pals had a david lee roth a cappella mp3 lying around but hey

shit Ned's going to see that and be mad 'cause I still haven't gone back and done any more work on our EP

How was Boredoms?

it was ok. i think first time i've seen them completely sober. their set was probably least impressive of the 3 i've seen, BUT i was like 3 ft away from yoshimi and watching her awesome keyboard jamz that close was totally inspiring.

xpost I bought it for fifty bucks at a garage sale. It is not state of the art and it is pretty loud, but it is functional. I like the combination of working out and watching a movie while I do it. MULTITASKING YAY

i actually saw 2 shows today! i went to sunday in the park with george w/ one of my classes this afternoon, came home and did homework, then went to boredoms. and now i am taking tomorrow off so that i can finish my homework and do my laundry, but this means i don't get my friday off this week :(
