i write about declining role of orchestras in broadway musicals & related stuff (union strikes, house minimums, issues in collective bargaining agreements, producers' point of view ('we'd rather not pay for them!' actually there is more to it but whatever), virtual orchestras, and some history of the development of musicals from broadway's 'golden age' to today). sort of. this is a rough draft but i really haven't had time to do all the research i want to so i'm a bit screwed. the kicker is that i don't really like broadway, but i fear for musician jobs.

I don't know, the book is insanely clear and I like doing math problems that I can actually come up with the right answer for. I kinda like it, although trying to make it cool by referring to it as DA4Meds online with friends may have been taking it too far.

xpost Luckily I haven't had to calculate crazy stuff like that, Tom. I have been figuring out IV flow rates in drops per minute (gtt/min). The numbers are MUCH easier to work with.

no dude i chose my thesis topic because it seemed easy and i thought my advisor wanted me to do it and then it turned out that it wasnt nearly as interesting as i thought and my advisor didnt really help anyway. so i really wish i had "challenged" myself because right now all i can say is that i chose my topic because it seemed interesting and easy for about a day and then i still did a shitty job.
