i basically have to reboot my career though, since i'm not really interested in teaching any more. so a full-time writing job in one of those places ... probably rules out seattle, at the least.

that plus boredoms has put me in the best mood i have been in for ten months, easy

Yeah... full-time writing job sounds difficult. I would combine "cheapest city" with "city with best climate" myself.

Although now that I wrote that, I suppose suggesting you come to the Twin Cities is going to sound kind of stupid.
