there was black ice on storrow?? damn.

I dunno, I was sweaty and nauseated on the T, maybe moreso than interacting with an angry woman from Watertown would make me.

jessie monster, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 13:38 (eighteen years ago)

Dear Dan - is your car okay? (Are you okay?) That can shake a person up.
PS I would make you a spamulet if I knew how.

Dear John, I hope you recover from whatever the hell you imbibed last night. I'm sure you're sleeping it off.

Dear Everyone, I will be on your TEEM, but I refuse to look at your anagrams.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 13:52 (eighteen years ago)

The only saving grace was that she wasn't angry. I was very scared thought because I grabbed an old, expired copy of my registration out of my glove compartment box as opposed to the current one.

The thing that irritated me the most is that her bumper was all messed up anyway, so this is basically an excuse for her to replace it. The end result was a new scratch on both of our cars. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

HI DERE, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 13:53 (eighteen years ago)

That is just frustrating. I'm sorry!

You are making me realize how unwise I am sometimes about driving in questionable weather if I don't absolutely have to. The night that the roads were so bad on the way to class I got there and I could have stayed overnight. I did not, however, do this. Why? I can't live without my own toothbrush and a change of underwear.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 14:03 (eighteen years ago)

Dan, I'm glad she wasn't angry anyway. But in the case of black ice, no one has the right to be angry.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 14:04 (eighteen years ago)

I'm glad it wasn't a big deal, Dan! I guess driving in Boston you learn to take that stuff in stride.

jessie monster, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 14:27 (eighteen years ago)

Well, it helped that there was no real collision (at least not from my side of things) and minimal damage.

HI DERE, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 15:37 (eighteen years ago)

I suppose if you're going to be in an accident, that is the kind to be in. But it still sucks.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 16:03 (eighteen years ago)

jessie monster, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 16:56 (eighteen years ago)

I was going to vote for the thai rice or the curry rice.

Also, when will John and FB create a tofu-based drink? John is such a tofu fan.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 16:56 (eighteen years ago)

fried tofu I love you so much with jasmine rice but you are not so filling.

jessie monster, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 16:56 (eighteen years ago)

tofu-based drink: miso soup w/ sake.

jessie monster, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 16:57 (eighteen years ago)

q: are old friends the best thing in the world?

a: absolutely

remy bean, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 18:01 (eighteen years ago)

why does the number of new answers on this thread decrease periodically even though there are new posts???

jessie monster, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 18:15 (eighteen years ago)

It must be based on set periods of time somehow...?

This is the kind of thing that, even if I totally understood it, I am unable to explain.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 18:17 (eighteen years ago)

Which one of us is more obsessive?

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 20:44 (eighteen years ago)

no no no fuck old friends the best thing in the world is when all your online retail therapy shows up at once. it's four in the afternoon, do you know where your new kitchen knives, cookbooks, graphic novel by doug tennapel and yet another pair of black doc martens are?

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 20:49 (eighteen years ago)

paying down debt for years and then finally getting rid of it is kind of like that trick where you press on the door frame as hard as you can for a while and then when you step away your arms just involuntarily go up all by themselves

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 20:51 (eighteen years ago)

omg I need new dms

HI DERE, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 20:54 (eighteen years ago)

Last week I ordered multiple books and cds. I also broke down and ordered an electric blanket. Sure it's warm TODAY, but I've spent the last 4 months shivering. I HAD TO TAKE ACTION

xpost Tom, that is a nice metaphor!

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 21:03 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 22:07 (eighteen years ago)

Although you're right: I would not give him an expensive horrible present unless I also had money for expensive awesome presents to make up for my cruel behavior.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 11 March 2008 22:09 (eighteen years ago)

oh shit bump

speaking of shoes: i bought my first pair of hiking boots the other day. jordan said it was the most romantic thing anyone's ever done for him {i've NEVER hiked, but he is a big outdoorsy guy, and i've promised to give it a go when i move to US}

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:30 (eighteen years ago)

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:30 (eighteen years ago)

I really need to buy some new running shoes. I walk a LOT of miles on them on my treadmill. Maybe I will be able to walk outdoors again someday, now that it appears the deep freeze has at least paused!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:36 (eighteen years ago)
