I don't know how long it has been here; Fine Groove Records. It's on Division (although, really, where else would it be). I haven't been down there in months, but it's on the Econofoods (formerly More 4) side of the street - I think just down from Hogan Brothers.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 21:35 (eighteen years ago)

(omg I need a Hogan Bros sandwich RIGHT NOW)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 21:35 (eighteen years ago)

random avoiding my homework for a moment bump

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 22:24 (eighteen years ago)

MORE 4 IS GONE :(:(:(:(:(

John Justen, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 22:26 (eighteen years ago)

that should be followed by some of this ?!?!?!?!!??!?! business

John Justen, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 22:26 (eighteen years ago)

is this fine groove by the library? if so that dude is a DICK

John Justen, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 22:27 (eighteen years ago)

i did however exploit his ignorance of vinyl pricing for several years out of spite

John Justen, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 22:27 (eighteen years ago)

Well, I still think of it as MORE 4 myself. Econofoods is just boring. Also Petricka's is entirely gone and there's, like, condo retirement homes there or something. Instead there is a Cub Foods on Hwy 3 toward Dundas. It sucks. Same owners; way poorer customer service.

I guess Fine Groove is sort of by the library, in the sense that the library is on the same side of Division... the two buildings are a few blocks apart. That being said, downtown Northfield businesses seem to be playing musical building and it could be the same store/same guy. NO IDEA.

I can't speak for his prices (like I would have a clue) or his persona. I just know that he looks exactly like James Woods. Whenever I see him in town I wonder what he's doing away from the set of SHARK.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 22:38 (eighteen years ago)

OH SHIT

John Justen, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 22:49 (eighteen years ago)

A SHARK

John Justen, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 22:49 (eighteen years ago)

hahaha, have you ever seen that show? It's terrible! I saw part of one episode while waiting to watch the news one night.

The plot was about a plastic surgeon trading plastic surgery in exchange for sex. I'm sure this means I'm a terrible person, but I considered that for a second and said, "HEY, THAT'S A REALLY GOOD DEAL!"

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 5 March 2008 22:52 (eighteen years ago)

It's apparently Thursday already; here in the US we just don't know it yet bump

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 00:31 (eighteen years ago)

hungry. irritable. still at work. bump.

John Justen, Thursday, 6 March 2008 01:20 (eighteen years ago)

I hope you get home soon and get some food. I'm on the phone with my Dad working out last minute stuff with his checkbooks. FUN

I have big, exciting treadmill and homework plans later. BE JEALOUS ITR

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 01:40 (eighteen years ago)

I'm also hungry, irritable and at work. I kind of got angry at a secretary before and a coworker said 'shiiit, what is up with you today?' :D

W4LTER, Thursday, 6 March 2008 01:42 (eighteen years ago)

cousin and his boytoy are fucking bitchy, bitchiness is contagious, i am gonna come down with gay-bitchy measles

remy bean, Thursday, 6 March 2008 01:56 (eighteen years ago)

i like the sound of this affliction, please post lots.

estela, Thursday, 6 March 2008 02:00 (eighteen years ago)

OK NOW I AM DRINKING A BEER ALL IS WELL

John Justen, Thursday, 6 March 2008 03:00 (eighteen years ago)

Is it a gay bitchy beer, in honor of Remy's plight?

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 6 March 2008 03:25 (eighteen years ago)

it is black label. maybe?

John Justen, Thursday, 6 March 2008 04:09 (eighteen years ago)

Obviously the answer is yes.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 04:20 (eighteen years ago)

Done with treadmill walk to War of the Worlds.

Tom Cruise kind of scares me.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 04:20 (eighteen years ago)

yes

HI DERE, Thursday, 6 March 2008 05:28 (eighteen years ago)

In a way, the movie worked okay because he wasn't playing a likeable character anyway. It was good treadmill fare due to multiple actions scenes with explosions.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 05:56 (eighteen years ago)

oh gawd, they are talking about carrie fisher and j/oing each other

remy bean, Thursday, 6 March 2008 05:58 (eighteen years ago)

I have no idea what that even means!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 06:15 (eighteen years ago)

Maybe I don't need to know, though.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 06:16 (eighteen years ago)

looking at my living room table and seeing a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label and many cans of Carling Black Label made me realize what a thematically-linked classy dirtbag I am.

John Justen, Thursday, 6 March 2008 06:34 (eighteen years ago)

TRENCHANT SELF-EXAMINATION BUMP.

John Justen, Thursday, 6 March 2008 06:34 (eighteen years ago)

i agree, sitting in a living room of rich homo investors

remy bean, Thursday, 6 March 2008 06:36 (eighteen years ago)

My office is a terrifying mess of books, papers, toys and random objects. I don't remember the last time I vacuumed it. It's probably not going to get any better. I AM A SLOB

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 06:46 (eighteen years ago)

I almost blew up my free iPhone. ;_;

HI DERE, Thursday, 6 March 2008 06:48 (eighteen years ago)

John, I was just wishing I had brought my stethoscope on Saturday so that I could have bribed one of the smokers to let me listen to their lungs.

Apparently FB doesn't remember much after midnight, so he would have been the perfect candidate for almost any type of torment.

xpost Dan... WHAT?!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 06:49 (eighteen years ago)

god, my life would be so much better-invested-in if i were just a little gayer.

remy bean, Thursday, 6 March 2008 07:06 (eighteen years ago)

I always think I'd be a good cook if I were just a gay man!

remy, maybe you can glean some investing and cooking tips during your stay and share them with us at ITR.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 07:15 (eighteen years ago)

With that thought, I'm off to sleep... good night!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 07:17 (eighteen years ago)

i think i am a better cook than any of them, and straight to boot. now my cuz & his b.f. are having a fight in which they both pretend they are not interested in each other, but are both desperately horny, and i am trying to stand to the side.

remy bean, Thursday, 6 March 2008 07:18 (eighteen years ago)

ugh, night!

remy bean, Thursday, 6 March 2008 07:18 (eighteen years ago)

janitor shift bump

estela, Thursday, 6 March 2008 09:44 (eighteen years ago)

i expect walter is out enjoying the famous gold coast night life, eating a delicious baked dinner at the burle1gh b3ars leagues club or maybe fishing off a bridge in the darkness with some taciturn locals, the lucky devil.

estela, Thursday, 6 March 2008 10:07 (eighteen years ago)

i hope he doesn't get gravy on his shirt or slop bait onto his shoes.

estela, Thursday, 6 March 2008 10:09 (eighteen years ago)

lol i live v near the bur1eigh baers leagues klub, alas i have never been. also alas: i have only been fishing maybe twice in my life.

Although ---I'm actually meant to be enjoying the "famous gc night life" this sat night coz an acquaintance (who is a twat) is having his bday party at some "swanky" place at main beach , but i will pike and not go. gf will be unimpressed >:O

W4LTER, Thursday, 6 March 2008 10:47 (eighteen years ago)

..that didn't really need 'and not go'

W4LTER, Thursday, 6 March 2008 10:49 (eighteen years ago)

hellooooo itr i just did the work of a thousand men.

^^^ok not actually true, but i have been doing the work of about 3 people because everyone i work with sucks ass bigtime. but the upshot is that due to my 'attitude adjustment' recently i am HELLA (i'm practising the slang for living in oakland) popular... shit, i'm raking in about 10x more tips than anyone else, and even better is that my customers keep telling my boss how awesome i am. i still hate my job but it's bearable when my fragile little ego gets stroked.

Rubyredd, Thursday, 6 March 2008 10:53 (eighteen years ago)

thank god walter and ruby, i was so alone here, it was awful.

walter, i have never been to the burl3igh b3ars but they advertise it at the movies and it looks hilariously bad, i am a bit obsessed with it, i fear i will end up there one day and it won't be funny at all, just dispiriting.

ruby, i met a girl from nz today who reminded me of you, she was very cute. i was kindly disposed towards her from the outset because of the similarity, i beamed at her.

estela, Thursday, 6 March 2008 11:09 (eighteen years ago)

i hope not too broadly, and not for too long.

estela, Thursday, 6 March 2008 11:17 (eighteen years ago)

morning in Minnesota bump

Sara R-C, Thursday, 6 March 2008 14:17 (eighteen years ago)

yay my iPhone is back in working order

HI DERE, Thursday, 6 March 2008 14:46 (eighteen years ago)

terrible morning moment of putting on cold shoes

John Justen, Thursday, 6 March 2008 15:28 (eighteen years ago)

Did remy survive the horniness?

Will Sara be a gay man cook?

Will John's feet freeze in his shoes and snap off, causing the Canadian police to initiate inquiries?

Tune in tomorrow, or in two minutes?
