today:

woke up next to a clear cold stream, bottle of jack at my feet.
weird memories of dream, including the quote 'fat people are more likely to get stung by bees' also strange reminiscence of a fugue about a boat tossed about on a wild river, and 'brycer' getting away in time.

drove 20 miles to trailhead in big sur, hiked:

and startled three deer, a golden eagle (first i've ever seen) as well as three million smaller birds

drove to daly city, got out and talked to the construction foreman at the devil's slide highway project/tunnel/bridge and gave him my trader joe's ginger snap cookies in exchange for a private 'tour' on a bridge over this massive creepy chasm.

arrived at my cousin's house in berkeley, hung out with his newest sugar baby, sweet canadian kid named D., but got told to disappear for two hours while they finished their "video" project.

went to shakespeare and co. bookstore, bought milovarad paviç's 'dictionary of the kazars' and read three chapters

watched american idol in the castro w. cousin, sugar-baby, and a friend at some weirdo gay-bar, got three drinks bought for free, but left before things got too fruity for my taste
