i just had a really hard goodbye with the kid i have been nannying for nine months. we went to the l.a. zoo, played clue, ate a pizza and watched planet earth on television. he refused to go to sleep, because he knew when he woke i'd be gone...

then he tried not to cry, and it set me off like ... gah, i haven't shed a tear for the last couple years.

No, I don't think it happened on his birthday but that would make for a way awesomer story.

I remember him telling me that story and I was like WAIT, WAHT HAPPENED TO YOU?!

Between that and the Larry The Pet Turkey and Delicious Dinner story, I realized that John has things happen to him that no one else in the world does.

So I admit it: I own a Dave Matthews Band song. Only one. But I listen to it. And I like it. I am filled with seventy three shames, but the song still makes me feel like I am in high school and in love with the sluttiest girl in the drama club.
