it seems that this is official itr birthday week, as i was born unto this world on the day we shall celebrate as saturday, thus also missing wicked awesome leap birthday coolness

I just played Current 93 and it scared my cat

Okay I'm going to have to hear Current 93, obv.

No point in listening to anything until A. works out why the speakers on my computer are not working. (This is why I am suspicious of "let me update your computer and make it better" moments.)

So I bought Lupe Fiasco's first album and it's just as excellent as his second one. This guy is fucking phenomenal.

I was going to try and listen to some of these things through my computer but now I can't because IT'S TIME FOR THE KIDS TO INSIST ON SNACKS AND HOMEWORK HELP EVERY TEN SECONDS

When time permits, I will check out: Current 93 and Lupe Fiasco.

hi sara, last night i was panicking about bumping the thread in time, which i did. all for nothing.

I saw the video for "Kick Push" and liked it but that dropped during a self-imposed moritorium on purchasing new music so I never bought it. I recently heard "Dumb It Down" thx to jessie monster's radio show and bought that one because I was looking for a new artist to explore; "Paris, Tokyo" is hella boring but everything else on the album is fantastic, PARTICULARLY "Little Weapon" and "Hello Goodbye (Uncool)". This made me go back and get the first one, which I think is similarly great only without the one momentum-killing track (at least one hasn't surfaced so far).

I always think it would be most convenient to take Dan/John/FB/or at least all their last.fm information with me when purchasing new music. I'm so behind!

I have an awesome Current 93 story!

Boyfriend and I were in the car, driving to the grocery store, and listening to like a 9-minute Current 93 song about like dinosaurs or some shit. We're getting ready to pull into the store parking lot when this girl wearing THIGH-HIGH WHITE BOOTS and a miniskirt walks by IN THE SNOW.

Me: "UH"
Boyfriend: "Let's force her into the car and make her listen to Current 93. It would be worse than rape."
Guy getting out of car in front of us: "HEY NICE BOOTS!!!"

My second-ever HEAVY PETTING session was: I was 18, or maybe 19, and I chose to put on Current 93's "in menstrual night" comp at my buddy's house and we ended up making out IN THE DARK.

Me and my friend took him 400 miles to see Rasputina, who he later described as both "interesting" and "okay." A winner!
