It can be expensive to fly around the US... it kind of depends on the airline and the time of year. My classes end June 15, though, and summer is a good time to visit this area.

my parents both left school at 14, have worked minimum-wage jobs there whole lives, have no interest in art or literature, and were utterly baffled when i came home from school one day and told them i was going to be majoring in religious studies at university.

my stepdad is hilarious and has the same kind of juvenile sense of humour as jordan, so i'm sure they're going to get along fine. my mum has a thing for bald guys and nice manners so she's going to be smitten with him.

OMG i told my mum to take a photo with jordan because that would be cool for me, and she just sent me a pic from her mobile: jordan and my dad sitting together, my dad looking like he's about to kill someone! i just about fell out of bed laughing!

i hope jordan doesn't get mad, but i have to post this...

the funniest thing is that my stepdad is a total goof in reality. but he always poses that way for photos.

i haven't seen my dad in a year and he is looking very grey and old ;_;

ok so here's the dirt:
it all went really well, my parents loved jordan, and i think they were hugely impressed by the fact that he paid the bill. also, it appears they have realised he's not just a 'good friend'. my dad asked him how he felt about my BOSSINESS, and also told him i must fancy him a lot because i ALWAYS talk about him. jesus, i didn't realise i was doing such a bad job of pretending i have no significant other at the present. my mum also snuggled up to jordan for their photo together and told him "this will make justine jealous". so yeah, my parents liked him a lot.
