^^^ that is insensitive

remy bean, Sunday, 24 February 2008 02:36 (eighteen years ago)

xposts - Dan, now I'm concerned that John thinks you have squirrel stories.

I thought His Dark Materials were all pretty good, although I'll agree that the ending was kind of anticlimactic. Maybe not as much as remy thought, though!

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 02:49 (eighteen years ago)

Now my guests are gone and I need to get on my treadmill and walk. And then tomorrow is going to be like homework homework homework day. ;_;

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 02:50 (eighteen years ago)

Treadmill workout done; recording remainder of SNL. SNL "Annuale" faux ad had me doubled over in laughter. Possibly due to exhaustion, but still pretty damn funny.

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 05:05 (eighteen years ago)

I jus washed my car. Also I got really hammered on Fri night and 'nearly got in a fight'. I don't remember it at alll. I suck.

W4LTER, Sunday, 24 February 2008 05:26 (eighteen years ago)

Hey, at least your car is clean!

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 07:13 (eighteen years ago)

It sounds like you had a crazy Friday night, but I'm sure you're doing better tonight, W4LTER.

I have just spent an hour wrestling with APA format for my references; I'm going to bed. I have to write the rest of the paper tomorrow!!! ;_;

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 07:14 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 18:03 (eighteen years ago)

My parents gave me money for my birthday. Hmmmm, should I start a poll thread for what to do with it?

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 18:09 (eighteen years ago)

it is because weta studios (peter jackson's production company) is in wellington, and they film a lot of movies here. currently: avatar, the lovely bones, and the justice league are being filmed here.

and also: my restaurant is super popular!!

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 19:48 (eighteen years ago)

Oh - cool!

So the food at your restaurant must be fairly good if it is popular...?

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 20:24 (eighteen years ago)

Maybe that doesn't follow.

I am going to take a nap before I have to spend the rest of the day/night writing a paper.

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 20:24 (eighteen years ago)

well, it's good old fashioned italian... and we're one of only two italian restaurants in the CBD, and the other one is shit.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 20:52 (eighteen years ago)

good old fashioned italian sounds really good right now. i wish i were at ruby's restaurant.

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 21:23 (eighteen years ago)

i still really want italian. will i have it?

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 21:43 (eighteen years ago)

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 21:45 (eighteen years ago)

you got the wrong 8 ball - mine says: YES LXY SHOULD HAVE ITALIAN

if i had known jergins when he came to wellington, i would have given him a free meal and lots of chianti.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 21:55 (eighteen years ago)

alex fom SF came in for dinner with his new wife, on their honeymoon. i bought them a nice bottle of NZ pinot noir.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 21:55 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, now I want to go to Seattle AND New Zealand!

Although without Rubyredd in NZ, what is the point?

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 22:19 (eighteen years ago)

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 22:40 (eighteen years ago)

OK so dans sqwarl story was actually more his wifes sqwarl story and is a bemusing droll tale about the wacky hijinks that can ensue when changing localities in these fine united states re:kingdom mammalia in all its multiple forms and territories

John Justen, Sunday, 24 February 2008 22:48 (eighteen years ago)

estela, Sunday, 24 February 2008 22:55 (eighteen years ago)

i will be here till early june! everyone come visit! you can all stay at my house!! i will feed you delicious italian and cheap red wine!

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 22:56 (eighteen years ago)

M4rina mir4ge is that place near seeea worlld? I don't think I've been there since I was a wee boy.

W4LTER, Sunday, 24 February 2008 22:57 (eighteen years ago)

yes, and it is well worth a visit to go to the italian place, you must trust me on this.

estela, Sunday, 24 February 2008 23:04 (eighteen years ago)

ok, as long as I don't have to go to palazzo versace.

W4LTER, Sunday, 24 February 2008 23:06 (eighteen years ago)

I want to hear Dan's wife's squirrel stories and drink wine and hang out with you guys.

Instead I am trying to write a paper in APA style, which actually FIGHTS BACK the more you try to write. ;_;

Rubyredd, I would totally visit you in NZ if I could.

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 23:07 (eighteen years ago)

sara, i understand your myriad commitments, and i will undertake the task of visiting you, instead. i really want to see lots of america so having people to visit all over the country will make it even more fun. is it expensive to fly around the US?

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 23:09 (eighteen years ago)

oh guess what... jordan is, as i type, meeting my parents in SF for lunch.

i told my mum that jordan isn't all that familiar with SF restaurants, so while they're wandering round they should just find somewhere they like, but that she should check it has a vegan option on the menu. she replied with "does he eat fish?".

i'm kinda nervous about this whole thing.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 23:13 (eighteen years ago)

walter, i am not one for the palazzo.

ruby, i would be terrified, but maybe your family is less likely to put on a show than mine is.

estela, Sunday, 24 February 2008 23:18 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, you should visit me! That would be awesome. (And I have a fold out couch downstairs that you and your boyfriend can stay on, if ever you need a place to stay - also separate bathroom with shower and lots of space...)

It can be expensive to fly around the US... it kind of depends on the airline and the time of year. My classes end June 15, though, and summer is a good time to visit this area.

"does he eat fish...?" Uh oh. Your mother sounds kind of hilarious, though.

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 23:18 (eighteen years ago)

my parents both left school at 14, have worked minimum-wage jobs there whole lives, have no interest in art or literature, and were utterly baffled when i came home from school one day and told them i was going to be majoring in religious studies at university.

my stepdad is hilarious and has the same kind of juvenile sense of humour as jordan, so i'm sure they're going to get along fine. my mum has a thing for bald guys and nice manners so she's going to be smitten with him.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 23:24 (eighteen years ago)

<3

estela, Sunday, 24 February 2008 23:26 (eighteen years ago)

Rubyredd, it sounds like it is going to be interesting and fun, actually. Unnerving at first, I'm sure - but your stepdad sounds like he'll be cool with Jordan and if one parent likes a person, often their S.O. will, too...

Sara R-C, Sunday, 24 February 2008 23:36 (eighteen years ago)

OMG i told my mum to take a photo with jordan because that would be cool for me, and she just sent me a pic from her mobile: jordan and my dad sitting together, my dad looking like he's about to kill someone! i just about fell out of bed laughing!
