remy bean, Saturday, 23 February 2008 04:33 (eighteen years ago)

is russell simmons mildly retarded?

remy bean, Saturday, 23 February 2008 05:13 (eighteen years ago)

I don't even know who that is!

NOW WHO'S MILDLY RETARDED

Sara R-C, Saturday, 23 February 2008 05:45 (eighteen years ago)

Oh wait, it's me. ;_;

Sara R-C, Saturday, 23 February 2008 05:45 (eighteen years ago)

Last bump before sleep; I have school from 9 until 4 tomorrow so I have to get up early... good night all

Sara R-C, Saturday, 23 February 2008 05:45 (eighteen years ago)

Ick.

I just watched

'Evil'
'1001 Nights'
'Ravenous'

in under an hour with my tivo on ff, skipping to the decent parts

remy bean, Saturday, 23 February 2008 07:15 (eighteen years ago)

Nah, it's going to be fun. We spend a decent amount of time examining mannequins that have blood pressures and pulses, and it's kind of hilarious. (By 4 I'll be good and ready to go home, don't get me wrong.)

lol at "decent parts" of those... movies? Shows? My Netflix queue is nearly 500 movies long and I have yet to hear of any of your entertainment, remy!

riduculous animal observation 1:

i watched a squirrel sleeping on a branch in the sun in a tree across the alley.

this is weird because normally squirrels are very busy all the time.

it was probably the same squirrel that jumped on my arm last summer. crazy fucking squirrel.

lxy, Saturday, 23 February 2008 20:08 (eighteen years ago)

riduculous (apparently that is a word) animal observation 2:

i watched a lady taking a leisurely stroll with her enormous orange cat.

people walking cats is riduculous.

it seems to be a very well-behaved cat. probably this is because it is too enormous to run away.

lxy, Saturday, 23 February 2008 20:12 (eighteen years ago)

(lintberg is a fan of animals. he is also a fan of riduculous observations. i hope he finds these observations mollifying.)

packed up the first thousand books, ordered the storage van to come next tuesday. a week from now i will be gone.

remy bean, Saturday, 23 February 2008 21:32 (eighteen years ago)

Finally home bump.

It is crazy how 30 degrees F can seem tropical after it's been so cold.

John, I tried the alfredo lasagna for lunch and it was pretty good!

Sara R-C, Saturday, 23 February 2008 23:14 (eighteen years ago)

i'm hungry and i can't go anywhere because i'm the only one at the shoe store today ;_;

Rubyredd, Saturday, 23 February 2008 23:19 (eighteen years ago)

Yikes - that sucks. And it's not like you can eat shoes.

I'm just re-reading the last few posts and thinking about a squirrel jumping on lxy's arm. WHOA

Sara R-C, Saturday, 23 February 2008 23:31 (eighteen years ago)

don't they bite and have rabies? that's scary. i think i heard mice rustling around in my room all night.

Rubyredd, Saturday, 23 February 2008 23:32 (eighteen years ago)

HI DERE has a few great squirrel stories he should share.

I prefer to call them sqwarls

John Justen, Saturday, 23 February 2008 23:35 (eighteen years ago)

xpost Yes, that sounds freaky to me. I am SUPER paranoid about rabies. The treatment sounds so horrible!

Sara R-C, Saturday, 23 February 2008 23:37 (eighteen years ago)

...I'm going to check back for the squirrel stories because I have guests suddenly! (ttyl, dudes)

Sara R-C, Saturday, 23 February 2008 23:37 (eighteen years ago)

my roommate once dropped acid at a pixies concert and swears – swears to this day – that he drank water from a squirrel in the seat next to him

remy bean, Saturday, 23 February 2008 23:37 (eighteen years ago)

i didn't get rabies.

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:18 (eighteen years ago)

here's what i had to say about it at the time:

CIO SQUIRRELL LEAPING ONTO MY ARM! DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!

-- lxy, Saturday, June 2, 2007 11:50 AM (Saturday, June 2, 2007 11:50 AM)

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:18 (eighteen years ago)

(i know how to spell squirrel. but i was too freaked out for good spelling.)

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:19 (eighteen years ago)

are you SURE you didn't rabies??? maybe we should send jergins round to make sure you're not foaming at the mouth!

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:38 (eighteen years ago)

SQWARL!

John Justen, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:41 (eighteen years ago)

i always had romantic notions about squirrels until i moved to florida where there was a lot of dirty-grey cheezit-eating ones sneaking around the parks and public squares, camouflaging themselves behind ratty clumps of spanish moss. they were a great disappointment. i'm glad i didn't know about this leaping on arms business, that would have been too much.

estela, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:44 (eighteen years ago)

no worries, ruby. if i got rabies last june then apparently i can live with it.

me, i'm much more fearful that remy's acid friend got rabies. perhaps jergins should check on him?

o estela, it's such a terrible heartbreak.

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:50 (eighteen years ago)

rabies always makes me think of 'to kill a mockingbird'

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:53 (eighteen years ago)

which just reminded me that i'm up to episode 10 of deadwood (dvd) and OH MY GOD WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME TIMOTHY OLYPHANT WAS IN IT!!

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:54 (eighteen years ago)

another disappointing scenario i have seen included three scruffy kangaroos, a swarm of flies, and a pair of kangaroo testicles getting frantically scratched by a stumpy kangaroo arm.

estela, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:57 (eighteen years ago)

more than disappointing

jergïns, Sunday, 24 February 2008 00:59 (eighteen years ago)

;_;

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:00 (eighteen years ago)

estela, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:06 (eighteen years ago)

rabies always makes me think of 'to kill a mockingbird'

that makes rabies kind of a mixed bag, doesn't it? i love things that remind me of 'to kill a mockingbird.'

one time i was very flattered by a friend telling me i reminded him of scout.

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:07 (eighteen years ago)

even her third eye is crying

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:08 (eighteen years ago)

lxy, i think you are like scout!!

estela, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:11 (eighteen years ago)

OMG you ARE totally like scout! i loved that book when i was a kid. did harper lee ever write anything else?

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:17 (eighteen years ago)

myself, i'm more like boo radley

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:17 (eighteen years ago)

i could not love estela and ruby more.

my third eye is crying with happiness ;

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:28 (eighteen years ago)

(see)

estela, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:32 (eighteen years ago)

estela is really quite like atticus, don't you think?

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:36 (eighteen years ago)

i was christened 'jem' for all of seventh grade b/c of TKaM because i was accident-prone and named jeremy. i was insulted at the time, now i wish it had stuck

remy bean, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:40 (eighteen years ago)

p.s. i <3 the movie ten thousand times over, probably even more than the book

remy bean, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:40 (eighteen years ago)

Wait, what squirrel stories????? Should I be concerned that I can't remember my own squirrel stories?

HI DERE, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:45 (eighteen years ago)

lol i accidentally pasted rabies always makes me think of 'to kill a mockingbird' into a work document

too bad i noticed before submitting

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:51 (eighteen years ago)

YES, estela IS quite like atticus.

we can call you jem here, remy; probably we should avoid calling you jemy, though.

hi dere, you can borrow some of my squirrel stories; i have more than my share.

lxy, Sunday, 24 February 2008 01:53 (eighteen years ago)

i think i might reread my copy of TKAMB tonight. i've been rereading 'his dark materials' but i keep getting distracted. next up is my second attempt ast 'journey to the end of the night'. the internets have ruined my concentration for reading :(

Rubyredd, Sunday, 24 February 2008 02:04 (eighteen years ago)

also those books are not very good

remy bean, Sunday, 24 February 2008 02:07 (eighteen years ago)
