El Tomboto, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:09 (eighteen years ago)

uh oh

jergïns, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:15 (eighteen years ago)

I feel like losing your mind might not be so bad, as long as the psych ward you wind up in has decent food.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:45 (eighteen years ago)

LOL I TRICKED THE PRIMARY PPL INTO A SMALLER THREAD

TEMPORARY VICTORY IS OURS

HI DERE, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:49 (eighteen years ago)

i <3 dan

estela, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:51 (eighteen years ago)

Dan, you rule.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:53 (eighteen years ago)

looking helpful while secretly being a nuisance is one of the greatest life skills a person can possess.

estela, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:55 (eighteen years ago)

I think that was Dan's major in college.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:57 (eighteen years ago)

And I mean that in the most fond possible way.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 21:57 (eighteen years ago)

<3 <3 <3 to JJ for starting CHICAGO poll

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:04 (eighteen years ago)

It is an elegantly done poll. The only problem is that now I have Stay the Night looping in my head, and that just grosses me out when I think of Peter Cetera.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:06 (eighteen years ago)

...

Wasn't that by the dude from The Cars?

HI DERE, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:09 (eighteen years ago)

oh lol there are many songs called "Stay The Night" oops

HI DERE, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:10 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, no, I mean the Chicago song, and that guy from The Cars is also kinda sexually unappealing.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:13 (eighteen years ago)

You know you have a total clit-on* for Benjamin Orr, don't lie.

(* - Just be glad I didn't use "pussy flush".)

HI DERE, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:15 (eighteen years ago)

the video for stay the night by chicago is CRAZYPANTS

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:15 (eighteen years ago)

glad everyone is enjoying chicagopoll.

also, dan, ick.

John Justen, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:17 (eighteen years ago)

Well, I guess if my choices are Benjamin Orr or Peter Cetera, Benjamin wins, but otherwise I think I'll pass.

hmmmm, should I watch the video and lock the song into my head permanently? "CRAZYPANTS" is such an interesting review.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:19 (eighteen years ago)

do it do it do it do it

HI DERE, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:20 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, I can't resist.

I'm pretty sure they were not looking for hysterical laughter as a response, but... somehow Peter Cetera as the World's Most Unattractive Psychotic Stalker makes me laugh.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 22:29 (eighteen years ago)

hello ITR-ers! i saw 30 days of night last night and it sucked ass. but it was preceded by a very nice dinner that i didn't have to pay for. in other news: i got my finishing-school prez from jordan - a lettered and signed chapbook from x-ray book company called 'god told me to eat dog shit', which is a collection of fucking cool poetry by sexton ming.

also: i am very happy with this thread title.

Rubyredd, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:24 (eighteen years ago)

lxy why you losing your mind??

Rubyredd, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:24 (eighteen years ago)

Good question about lxy's mind. (I hope whatever was wrong is better).

I want to see 30 Days of Night, but I'm too skeeeered. I was thinking that I could read the graphic novel and get the general idea instead. What didn't you like about it?

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:38 (eighteen years ago)

Also - what a cool gift!

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:38 (eighteen years ago)

I got A. a Valentine's Day present, but it is pretty boring. It's a DVD: The Simpson's Movie.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:39 (eighteen years ago)

it totally relied on blood for scary effect, no lolz, and totally empty/predictable story line. just nothing at all original or new. even the vampires were totally boring and unoriginal. and the logic is pretty shit - the whole premise of them lasting 30 days is bullshit and makes no sense, considering the situation they're in. wait till it comes out on dvd.

if you haven't seen no country for old men, go see that instead. it's fantastic, and way more disturbing.

Rubyredd, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:44 (eighteen years ago)

fuck knows why i even let myself be convinced to go see it - i HATE horror movies, and have no stomach for them. i really like action horror like the blade movies (yes i loved all three, and i don't care how shit everyone said the last one was), and i like super violent movies like kill bill but plain old horror just freaks me out.

i had to rent the lake house to watch when i got home, just so i could sleep.

Rubyredd, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:46 (eighteen years ago)

I liked no country old man. It was good. I also saw Superbad the other night -- why the fuk didn't i see that al cine??? Easily the best character was the crepey dude who gives them a lift to that party.

W4LTER, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:46 (eighteen years ago)

whatever's wrong with our lxy, i can tell you it's work-related. because in her personal life she just found out today that she gets to go to montreal for a week's vacation, two weeks from tomorrow.

jergïns, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:49 (eighteen years ago)

I saw Cloverfield the other day too, I liked it. Except there was this mother who brought her tribe of little shitheads along to the film with her, they sat behind us and talked the whole way through.

W4LTER, Tuesday, 12 February 2008 23:50 (eighteen years ago)

I don't see scary movies very often because they freak me out. Cloverfield was pretty fun, though. No kids in the theater I saw it in; only two other people, in fact!

I also usually don't see movies in the theater because it's expensive and if I'm going to go out with someone, I'd usually rather interact with them than watch something.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 00:58 (eighteen years ago)

I think I'm becoming the Grumpy Old Mom.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 00:58 (eighteen years ago)

My 9 year old just advanced from white belt to yellow belt in tae kwon do bump

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 02:33 (eighteen years ago)

that's bad ass, my friend was a yellow belt in HIGH SCHOOL.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 02:55 (eighteen years ago)

haha, if you met Alex, the last thing you would think of is "bad ass." He just started earlier than your high school friend.

On the other hand, the yellow belts have to spar and I'm thinking that sounds kind of scary. (repeating to myself, "I WILL NOT BE AN OVERPROTECTIVE MOTHER, I WILL NOT BE AN OVERPROTECTIVE MOTHER...")

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 03:06 (eighteen years ago)

remy bean, Wednesday, 13 February 2008 14:42 (eighteen years ago)
