jergïns, Friday, 1 February 2008 08:37 (eighteen years ago)

aww you guys are the best for making my boy so welcome!

i have warned him not to read the entirety of this thread, since i don't want him seeing the thing i asked JJ about (no one say anything).

Rubyredd, Friday, 1 February 2008 09:51 (eighteen years ago)

estela, Friday, 1 February 2008 12:00 (eighteen years ago)

it's only the mongrels and sheepfuxors who are awake.

hey i had a brilliant thought: now that ytth is here, if i don't get something on ilx, like some oldskool meme or whatever, i can just make him ask so i don't look like n00b.

Rubyredd, Friday, 1 February 2008 12:14 (eighteen years ago)

glad you made it back safely, w4lter. both my brothers have broken their clavicles while drunkenly bike-riding.

Rubyredd, Friday, 1 February 2008 12:15 (eighteen years ago)

hello, i think i will be pronouncing ytth as 'yith'.

estela, Friday, 1 February 2008 12:19 (eighteen years ago)

(in my special mongfuxor accent.)

estela, Friday, 1 February 2008 12:20 (eighteen years ago)

yah i have brokk a clavicle on my pushy before. I was 13, i woke up in the middle of the road. totally concussed and i vividly recall waking up and there was this beardy bikey dude who said to me: " sorry mate, your forks are fucked". I will never forget it.

W4LTER, Friday, 1 February 2008 12:22 (eighteen years ago)

that is your prerogative, estela, as bobby brown would say.

Rubyredd, Friday, 1 February 2008 12:22 (eighteen years ago)

lol at 'sorry mate your forks are fucked.'

estela, Friday, 1 February 2008 12:28 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Friday, 1 February 2008 14:11 (eighteen years ago)

W4LTER, Friday, 1 February 2008 14:26 (eighteen years ago)

HI DERE, Friday, 1 February 2008 15:11 (eighteen years ago)

The colors of faith: yellow, black, red, white, green, blue, purple, China.

Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Friday, 1 February 2008 15:16 (eighteen years ago)

sometimes i feel like FB is posting from a deep REM cycle

John Justen, Friday, 1 February 2008 15:20 (eighteen years ago)

BLACK: Our sins.
WHITE: The cleansing of our sins.

Oh nice, a genocidal candy cane.

HI DERE, Friday, 1 February 2008 15:21 (eighteen years ago)

oh, house hunt continues, btw. super cool house had cedar shake exterior, which adds about 15K maintenance every 5-7 yrs (strip, prime, paint) for good upkeep. no thanks.

this is not a ;_;, realtor dude says nothing up here is selling within 6-10 months of listing (ouch), so he says keep looking and wait for price to drop below 200k (!!!), and then see if it's worth it.

John Justen, Friday, 1 February 2008 15:24 (eighteen years ago)

Yikes, that exterior upkeep sounds like it would have been insane. And yeah, housing market sucks for sellers, but buying for the first time sounds so A+++++.

FB has a good point about that candy cane. CHINA

Sara R-C, Friday, 1 February 2008 16:41 (eighteen years ago)

11 hours of sleep, yawn

remy bean, Friday, 1 February 2008 17:09 (eighteen years ago)

That sounds sooooooo great.

Sara R-C, Friday, 1 February 2008 17:27 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Friday, 1 February 2008 18:58 (eighteen years ago)

TS: being miserably cold vs. being miserably hot and sweaty

Sara R-C, Friday, 1 February 2008 19:37 (eighteen years ago)

Miserably cold is much much better.

I know, right?, Friday, 1 February 2008 20:28 (eighteen years ago)

work is sllllllllooooooooowwwwwwwwww

John Justen, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:05 (eighteen years ago)

also, as a heads up for the frugal shopper, $.99 michelinas Lasagna Alfredo w/broccoli is perhaps the best food that you can buy for a dollar out of the freezer case of a SuperTarget.

John Justen, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:08 (eighteen years ago)

Can it be microwaved? If so, you may have kept me from starving on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Sara R-C, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:32 (eighteen years ago)

Dammit, MONDAY and Thursday nights.

Sara R-C, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:35 (eighteen years ago)

WHY YES IT CAN

srsly, this is me talking, of course it can be microwaved

John Justen, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:37 (eighteen years ago)

i have not cooked anything in not a microwave for about 5 or 6 years.

John Justen, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:38 (eighteen years ago)

I'm torn between boggling at that and being entirely unsurprised.

Sara R-C, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:40 (eighteen years ago)

get some of the pepperidge farm pot pies dude. so awesome out of the oven

El Tomboto, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:40 (eighteen years ago)

yeah, but those are like $2.50, whereas Swanson pot pies that taste like hypersalted cardboard are only $.59

John Justen, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:41 (eighteen years ago)

Hmmmm, there might be an oven in the kitchen near the nursing dept... I will look into that, too. THX GUYS

xpost I have a tendency to make a lot of pre-processed stuff from Schwan's in my toaster oven, though, so it's not like I'm some master chef here.

Sara R-C, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:42 (eighteen years ago)

"hypersalted cardboard" = perfect to serve to my FIL

Sara R-C, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:43 (eighteen years ago)

my sister just called to say my mom was taken by ambulance to the hospital w. high blood pressure, because they're worried she will have a heart attack.

remy bean, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:57 (eighteen years ago)

she went in to the physician's office with a cough

remy bean, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:58 (eighteen years ago)

i really hate being 3000 miles away right now

remy bean, Friday, 1 February 2008 21:58 (eighteen years ago)

Yikes, that is scary. BUT it sounds good that she hasn't had a heart attack yet; hopefully they can perform some interventions to stop that from happening.
