Also, 4ndr3w has a mouth; it's just that he's kind of introverted and hyperpolite, so it always seems like he's waiting for you to say something... it's like the conversational rhythm is always "off."

those kind of people always finally start to say something just as you desperately do, so the conversation degenerates into 'go ahead', 'no you go ahead', and the thing you have lined up to say isn't very good because you were just trying to fill the gap and now you seem like a boring interrupter.

In person, it's so much easier because there are almost always more of us talking and also you can fill time by doing stuff (fixing a drink or even cleaning something up, etc.)

god dammit, I forgot to fix my netflix queue so to ensure I only receive Wire episodes and now have Disc 3 of Season 3 (I have not seen discs one or two), two hitchcock films and "Serenity." I am my own worst enemy

estela - I'm in a post-baccalaureate nursing program; I have a bachelor's degree already, and so does everyone else in my cohort. We all took the last 1 1/2 years to finish out prerequisites to nursing. From here it is 2 years and at the end we will take the NCLEX-RN to become R.N.s

But there are a lot of different pathways into the profession.

Also, I'm kinda irritated that I didn't get a nursing degree (or rather, add a nursing major to my degree - which is what I'm doing now) when I was in college. I did consider it, but (omitting long story) that is not what happened.

The upside is that the other people in my program are completely awesome and I don't want to wish having met them away.

guys, i have an exciting story.

today i was at the brentwood post office buying stamps. when i came out, there were police officers everywhere. e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. as i started to drive my car out of the lot, one of them stopped me. told me i'd have to stay put. so i did. why? president bush was take his motorcade through the area. for an hour i stayed put (no matter that i was supposed to be picking up the 11-year-old from school) as secret service vans drove the streets i wasn't allowed near. even to go to starbucks, just on the other side.

finally the president shows up in his gigantic crazy-ass car surrounded by 88 motorcyclists. my reaction? stick out my tongue, make moose-antlers with my fingers, and give the POTUS a big raspberry.

i don't think he saw. but a bunch of the cops did, and they laughed.

tonight i will go to sleep proud of my work.

i am also proud of this. you have brought great honor to our humble bored.
