I used to have all of my college radio shows on tape. then one day, i threw all of my tapes away in a fevered moving house-cleaning frenzy. :(

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 20:49 (eighteen years ago)

I HAVE NO IDEA.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 20:50 (eighteen years ago)

THIS IS THE KMDFM REMIX, YOU FAKE FAN

HI DERE, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 20:50 (eighteen years ago)

also, what was song played about 30 minutes ago with "brothers, sisters, plead allegiance" at the end of it. was stuck with spikyhairedemoneerdowell kid teaching him how to use a distortion pedal.

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 20:52 (eighteen years ago)

Remember the KMFDM/MLWTTKK "Naive"/"Days of Swine and Roses" split single that KEvin Cole would play to death on "Depth Probe"?

HI DERE, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 20:53 (eighteen years ago)

probably "we don't need this fascist groove thing" by fIRE eNGINES but I am not sure.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 20:53 (eighteen years ago)

ok, thats funny, because i think i still have that 12".

xpost: thx. i liked it, must investigate.

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 20:54 (eighteen years ago)

TODAY HAS BEEN A DAY OF LURNINGK

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 20:55 (eighteen years ago)

missing 12" inch memory reminds me that if one of the houses we looked at works out, i will have MASSIVE RECORDS AND CDS AND MUSICKING ROOM

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 20:56 (eighteen years ago)

That would be awesome! I would be jealous if I didn't have a whole room to myself ("my office") that is basically a disaster area.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:26 (eighteen years ago)

Also, I still enjoy listening to you guys talk about music. Even though I'm often without a context for it.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:28 (eighteen years ago)

The house we are looking at is stupid awesome, and reminds me why living in the frozen MN tundra is worthwhile when buying things like, well, cool old big houses.

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:30 (eighteen years ago)

YAY!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:31 (eighteen years ago)

I should be more motivated about maintaining my own personal space in our house. It kinda looks like all of the interests I've ever had exploded in there.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:31 (eighteen years ago)

I will cross my fingers for you guys on the house; I really need for good things to be happening to other people right now.

...Kinda upset about the meeting (about 4l3x); it's so hard to know where to go with his issues and how they can be addressed. He's supersmart, which somehow makes it harder.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:34 (eighteen years ago)

On the bright side, new LOST episode tonight...

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:37 (eighteen years ago)

I thought tonight was 3rd season finale rerun with ADDED BONUS INFO POPUPS or some such nonsense.

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:53 (eighteen years ago)

not to rain on your parade.

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:53 (eighteen years ago)

hello everyone (including dear lrky lxy)

estela, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:58 (eighteen years ago)

Hmmmm, it's possible. They do like to do that the week before the season premiere. I should probably call my friend 4ndr3w, who is my tv expert person (uh, also to find out a time, because I think they changed that). I just don't want to do that because he's hard to talk to on the phone.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 22:59 (eighteen years ago)

no mouth?

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:00 (eighteen years ago)

i think finale rerun w/bonus track runs tonight, premiere is tomorrow, but i also never really know what is going on, so keep that in mind.

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:00 (eighteen years ago)

i think that's right

jergïns, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:03 (eighteen years ago)

(though i'd heard they weren't allowed to do a recap episode because of the writer's strike, so don't listen to me)

jergïns, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:03 (eighteen years ago)

OH NOES I HAVE CLASS ON THURSDAY NIGHTS

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:03 (eighteen years ago)

i have heard that lost will be presented using the medium of television but my sources are vague

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:05 (eighteen years ago)

xpost Oh well, that's what recording devices are for.

Also, 4ndr3w has a mouth; it's just that he's kind of introverted and hyperpolite, so it always seems like he's waiting for you to say something... it's like the conversational rhythm is always "off."

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:05 (eighteen years ago)

those kind of people always finally start to say something just as you desperately do, so the conversation degenerates into 'go ahead', 'no you go ahead', and the thing you have lined up to say isn't very good because you were just trying to fill the gap and now you seem like a boring interrupter.

estela, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:23 (eighteen years ago)

^^^ EXACTLY THIS

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:25 (eighteen years ago)

In person, it's so much easier because there are almost always more of us talking and also you can fill time by doing stuff (fixing a drink or even cleaning something up, etc.)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:26 (eighteen years ago)

i have a cousin who is like this, i really like him but i dread talking to him on the phone.

estela, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:30 (eighteen years ago)

sara, tell me about your nursing course. are you studying to be an rn? how long will it take you? is it quicker if you already have a degree?

estela, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:34 (eighteen years ago)

god dammit, I forgot to fix my netflix queue so to ensure I only receive Wire episodes and now have Disc 3 of Season 3 (I have not seen discs one or two), two hitchcock films and "Serenity." I am my own worst enemy

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:34 (eighteen years ago)

i do that shit to myself all the time

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:35 (eighteen years ago)

i managed to receive all of deadwood season one, and watch none of it

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:35 (eighteen years ago)

over the course of about 1 year. im dumb

John Justen, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:35 (eighteen years ago)

lol Serenity was ok! I also watched Sunshine recently which was not bad, except for melty man.

W4LTER, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:36 (eighteen years ago)

omg I LOVE Serenity. Sooooo in love with Nathan Fillion in that. Well, and every other character, too. (Except maybe Wash.)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:37 (eighteen years ago)

Also, I'm obsessed with re-arranging my Netflix queue and will find an excuse to tweak it every single day. Which clearly means I need to get a life.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:38 (eighteen years ago)

estela - I'm in a post-baccalaureate nursing program; I have a bachelor's degree already, and so does everyone else in my cohort. We all took the last 1 1/2 years to finish out prerequisites to nursing. From here it is 2 years and at the end we will take the NCLEX-RN to become R.N.s

But there are a lot of different pathways into the profession.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:39 (eighteen years ago)

Also, I'm kinda irritated that I didn't get a nursing degree (or rather, add a nursing major to my degree - which is what I'm doing now) when I was in college. I did consider it, but (omitting long story) that is not what happened.

The upside is that the other people in my program are completely awesome and I don't want to wish having met them away.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:42 (eighteen years ago)

people always think I look like nathan fillion. fuck that, HE looks like ME

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:43 (eighteen years ago)

Well, that is entirely awesome for you, because that guy is a hottie.

You should probably get a long, brown coat and fool Firefly fangirls into hanging out with you.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:48 (eighteen years ago)

WHERE WILL THIS NOSE TAKE ME NEXT

El Tomboto, Thursday, 31 January 2008 00:05 (eighteen years ago)
