Sorry, deX. I might be able to fake John's job for 15 minutes or so, but I don't think I could fake yours for even 15 seconds.

Sadly, this would likely remain true even if I tried to change my major to computer science. I don't think my brane can do it. ;_;

Sara R-C, Friday, 11 January 2008 17:10 (eighteen years ago)

John, I actually would consider it if I had any business skills whatsoever.

Sarah, I am a receptionist at a university during intersession. It's like not having a job except you can't do anything fun for eight hours a day.

Dan, stop showing off.

At least we cleaned the entire apartment yesterday and now it looks like humans live there.

jessie monster, Friday, 11 January 2008 17:13 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, I could totally do yr job for a day, jessie.

My house does not, however, look like humans live in it, so I feel like I should warn you about that.

Sara R-C, Friday, 11 January 2008 17:16 (eighteen years ago)

repeating dreams is boring but i don't care and have been very sick so here goes:

last night i had a dream that i told the dancers at my work about ruby's visa problems and they were very sympathetic because they thought she was a dancer and would be joining our company.

after that i had a dream that i went to a record store and estela wrote the pithy comment cards under the new releases, pointing out what i should and shouldn't buy.

jergïns, Friday, 11 January 2008 17:48 (eighteen years ago)

I love it when random ILXors do weird stuff in my dreams. Especially ones I've never met in my life.

I really like the one about the dancers. And estela should write comment cards like that at record stores (or at least someone trustworthy should).

Sara R-C, Friday, 11 January 2008 18:18 (eighteen years ago)

I wrote the comment cards for Red Pets until the owner found the one on the Live album that said "If you buy this you are a dick."

John Justen, Friday, 11 January 2008 20:02 (eighteen years ago)

lolz - but your sentiment and belief is so clear!

RIP Red Pets ;_;

Sara R-C, Friday, 11 January 2008 20:07 (eighteen years ago)

lololololololololol

HI DERE, Friday, 11 January 2008 20:25 (eighteen years ago)

I had a dream the other night that I discovered that Heave Ho was a sockpuppet and there was a very Sherlock Holmes-style "and THAT is how I deduced that Heave Ho was none other than....!!" "*gasp*" "oh you caught me, you bastard!" "*bang bang* *crash*" but I forget who he supposedly was.

jessie monster, Friday, 11 January 2008 21:36 (eighteen years ago)

The most random one I've had with an ILXor in it involved some kind of end of the world scenario. For some reason, Ned showed up in a van and was going to save everyone by COOKING.

So I vote that you thought that Heave Ho was Ned.

Sara R-C, Friday, 11 January 2008 22:15 (eighteen years ago)

awww jergins!

random ilxors pop up in my dreams too. the most recent one featured jesse and we were swimming down at this park not far from my house. it was a very nice relaxing dream (weird, since i'm scared of the water).

Rubyredd, Friday, 11 January 2008 22:41 (eighteen years ago)

omg I think I DID think Heave Ho was Ned.

jessie monster, Friday, 11 January 2008 22:51 (eighteen years ago)

Had a terrifying dream once where Ally shouted at me for hours, and then when she was done and I mumbled out a reply she turned away to her mates and said "what a douche". I've never even met her!

John Justen, Saturday, 12 January 2008 17:01 (eighteen years ago)

If it's not too much to ask, if we could work Bo Jackson Overdrive into the next title reboot, that would be awesome.

John Justen, Saturday, 12 January 2008 17:11 (eighteen years ago)

estela, Sunday, 13 January 2008 07:13 (eighteen years ago)

If you were stuck on a desert island and you could only bring one book, would women be offended if one were to call a loopy cunt a loopy cunt? Like, not throwing the label around willy-nilly, but like, a real loopy cunt, you know? And no, you can't say the bible or the complete Shakespeare.

Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Sunday, 13 January 2008 07:52 (eighteen years ago)

those would be two books i'd LEAST want to bring to a desert island. unless i wanted to drive myself to suicide.

another shitty day dealing with another bunch of shitty morons. but i did some serious retail therapy today which made me feel temporarily better.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 13 January 2008 11:20 (eighteen years ago)

xpost It depends on the woman (or women). Silly FB.

What book to bring, I don't know. Let me think about it.

Rubyredd - glad the shopping helped a bit at least!

Sara R-C, Sunday, 13 January 2008 14:41 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, I haven't thought of a book for a desert island. I don't know if it's that I'm older than I used to be or more cynical than I used to be or what it is, but lately I'm underwhelmed by most of what I read. I rarely find a book that pulls me in so much that I can't get my mind off of it. I think the last one was probably Girl with a Pearl Earring - and when I picked that up, I expected to be bored.

Maybe it is an expectations thing? I just finished American Gods this morning and it had some terrific moments, but mostly... I liked it, I didn't love it.

btw, if we're going to a deserted island, I don't care what sort of language people use. Just don't expect me to share my sunscreen with you.

Sara R-C, Sunday, 13 January 2008 17:48 (eighteen years ago)

jessie monster, Sunday, 13 January 2008 20:17 (eighteen years ago)
