hi sara, no, no dental pain, just thick in the head from cold/surgery hangover and trying to figure out complex financial stuff, a terrible combination.
good night!

estela, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 07:04 (eighteen years ago)

there is only one wayne's world thread on ilx. i am disappointed. i need help with my homework!

just in a quick google search today i actually found some pretty good academic articles which use wayne's world as an example of postmodernism in film. it's only a short essay, so i need to focus on maybe 3 scenes from the movie, and the most obvious one is the product-placement bit. any suggestions for others? i haven't seen it in years, and the video store didn't have it today.

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 10:45 (eighteen years ago)

I saw Wayne's World so long ago that I barely remember it... I'm sorry. Maybe John or FB will be of some help. When is your essay due?

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 14:15 (eighteen years ago)

Bump!

I know, right?, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 15:25 (eighteen years ago)

rr, the only scenes i remember are: when garth dances across the diner to the tune of foxy lady, and when they're in the car singing bohemian rhapsody.

lxy, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 16:12 (eighteen years ago)

Not sure I ever actually saw this movie, so I will be of little help.

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 16:15 (eighteen years ago)

Apparently it wasn't hugely memorable as a film; I think I saw it in college, but I can't remember anything about it other than the scene where they re-enact the opening sequence of Laverne and Shirley. And that might have been Wayne's World 2. (Although... WAS there a Wayne's World 2?)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 17:28 (eighteen years ago)

OH NOES THRED TITLE BROEKEN AGANE BUMP ;_;

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 19:42 (eighteen years ago)

a puppy has returned, how do we lure him to ITR?

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 19:43 (eighteen years ago)

Either invite him personally, or I guess you could try putting out some kibble or something.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 19:46 (eighteen years ago)

I think we should invite the dude whose friend allegedly stuck his hand in a deep fryer.

HI DERE, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 19:57 (eighteen years ago)

I'll take anybody who isn't "A BABY"

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:06 (eighteen years ago)

(I suspect that "a baby" is LJ's first attempt at sockpuppeting, BTW)

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:07 (eighteen years ago)

I think we should invite the guy with the deep fried hand, myself.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:11 (eighteen years ago)

I'm thinking of just moving both those threads over here anyway

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:12 (eighteen years ago)

WE WELCOME THEM BOTH WITH OPEN ARMS.

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:13 (eighteen years ago)

guys we might want to tidy up the place before our new threads arrive.

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:16 (eighteen years ago)

so exciting.

estela, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:18 (eighteen years ago)

guys we might want to tidy up the place before our new threads arrive.

WHERE IS THE REAL JOHN JUSTEN?

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:31 (eighteen years ago)

I started to "tidy up" by marking every thread not safe for work but then my boss came over and I had to actually do work.

HI DERE, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:38 (eighteen years ago)

lol good luck finding the actual not safe for work thread now!

HI DERE, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:41 (eighteen years ago)

omg a puppy is back! today is the best day!

I am not a fan of babies in general and "a baby" in particular.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:57 (eighteen years ago)

I don't mind babies as long as I can give them back to their parents after a while. "a baby," though, I probably would avoid.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 21:03 (eighteen years ago)

fruit snack packets should have more than 5 fruit snacks in them targetcorp you fuckers bump

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 22:47 (eighteen years ago)

Just imagine the trauma of trying to get your kid to give you some of their fruit snacks when there are so few!

See, don't you feel better now?

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 22:51 (eighteen years ago)

i don't even let any of my kids know my name, sara

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 22:53 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, you're so bland looking, that I'm sure they'll never guess who their father is.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 22:55 (eighteen years ago)

*resists picking on John any further*

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 22:56 (eighteen years ago)

FOR NOW

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 22:56 (eighteen years ago)

I figure that this way if they ever get out of the bottom of that well, i'll be harder to find.

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 22:57 (eighteen years ago)

You're just as tender-hearted as you were in high school.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 22:59 (eighteen years ago)

jessie monster, Thursday, 10 January 2008 00:57 (eighteen years ago)

Oh shit, I was trying to remember who was the sadako-sensitive I knew on ILX. Sorry.

John Justen, Thursday, 10 January 2008 01:01 (eighteen years ago)

FIXED VIA QUICKTHINKING MODMAGIC

John Justen, Thursday, 10 January 2008 01:02 (eighteen years ago)

oh it's okay, sadako can stay. as long as she doesn't make it out of the monitor.

jessie monster, Thursday, 10 January 2008 01:25 (eighteen years ago)

ironically, if you hadn't posted that pic I probably would have.

jessie monster, Thursday, 10 January 2008 01:26 (eighteen years ago)

I don't know what I missed, but somehow that seems like a good thing.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 10 January 2008 01:41 (eighteen years ago)

Husband's rental car is a brand new PT Cruiser, which has got to be the most ridiculous possible rental. The kids are wildly enthusiastic about it, though.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 10 January 2008 01:42 (eighteen years ago)

Ten past ten and all's well bump

Sara R-C, Thursday, 10 January 2008 04:10 (eighteen years ago)

My last bump of the night.

And I just noticed the new thread title; I promise that I am unaware of the whereabouts of the REAL John Justen.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 10 January 2008 06:36 (eighteen years ago)

i just did some work from home is that bad bump

El Tomboto, Thursday, 10 January 2008 07:57 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Thursday, 10 January 2008 14:10 (eighteen years ago)
