Srsly, that was so cool of you, Rubyredd.

My husband is sick now, too! Maybe it IS the plague.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 14:41 (eighteen years ago)

I have sniffles! ;_;

HI DERE, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 14:48 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 17:59 (eighteen years ago)

John Justen, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 18:10 (eighteen years ago)

As long as you are feeling better, dude.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 18:30 (eighteen years ago)

I'm much better today myself, but all I drank last night was tea. ;_;

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 18:31 (eighteen years ago)

i bet this has broken by now

HI DERE, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 21:48 (eighteen years ago)

HI DERE, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 21:48 (eighteen years ago)

Where is your faith, man?

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 22:11 (eighteen years ago)

I lost that sometime during 3rd grade!

HI DERE, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 22:31 (eighteen years ago)

DANIEL: The Most Precocious Grade Schooler EVER

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 22:40 (eighteen years ago)

I'm sure I was older than that when I complained about going to church (boooring!) and my mother informed me that, if God forgot about me FOR EVEN ONE SECOND, I would disappear. Therefore, I could spare the hour of boredom per week.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 22:41 (eighteen years ago)

I probably even took that seriously at the time.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 22:41 (eighteen years ago)

last bump before I go out with the Widows for a while

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 8 January 2008 23:19 (eighteen years ago)

i just had a root canal done, i was lying in the chair busily praising myself about how brave and stoic i was compared to sara...sara r-c who doesn't like the scraping...what does r-c stand for? i thought, is it sara robinson-crusoe? what is it i must know, then the dentist said to his assistant, do we have anything that dissolves [something dental], and she said, i don't know, what's it called, and he said, i can't remember i was hoping you would, and she said, lol acid maybe, then she said, lol we could google it.

estela, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 00:42 (eighteen years ago)

^ numb gum bump

estela, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 00:43 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, you are braver and more stoic than I am! R-C is short for "Robinson-Coolidge," but believe me, my husband TOTALLY complained that it should have been "Coolidge-Robinson" for exactly the reason you cite (Robinson Crusoe!).

Um, I hope you aren't in any dental pain!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 03:04 (eighteen years ago)

so today i got given an assignment for a media studies class i'm doing. i have to pick one of the key concepts we've looked at (eg. signification, discourse, hegemony, ideology, representation, postmodernism etc.) and apply it to a media text (eg. tv show, film, magazine, internet etc.). so i've decided to do...... postmodernism and wayne's world!!

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 03:22 (eighteen years ago)

Rubyredd, you make me wonder why I'm taking nursing classes.

That sounds so fun!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 03:36 (eighteen years ago)

bumpity bump it was 65 degrees today bump

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 05:30 (eighteen years ago)

did you guys see the burger I made I posted it over on the things I put in my mouth thread on ile

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 05:31 (eighteen years ago)

why don't you just marry it

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 05:34 (eighteen years ago)

Tombot gets my vote for best cook on this thread, but I advise not marrying the burger because there's some shaky legal ground there I think

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 05:45 (eighteen years ago)

good night ITR!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 06:59 (eighteen years ago)

hi sara, no, no dental pain, just thick in the head from cold/surgery hangover and trying to figure out complex financial stuff, a terrible combination.
good night!

estela, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 07:04 (eighteen years ago)

there is only one wayne's world thread on ilx. i am disappointed. i need help with my homework!

just in a quick google search today i actually found some pretty good academic articles which use wayne's world as an example of postmodernism in film. it's only a short essay, so i need to focus on maybe 3 scenes from the movie, and the most obvious one is the product-placement bit. any suggestions for others? i haven't seen it in years, and the video store didn't have it today.

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 10:45 (eighteen years ago)

I saw Wayne's World so long ago that I barely remember it... I'm sorry. Maybe John or FB will be of some help. When is your essay due?

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 14:15 (eighteen years ago)

Bump!

I know, right?, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 15:25 (eighteen years ago)

rr, the only scenes i remember are: when garth dances across the diner to the tune of foxy lady, and when they're in the car singing bohemian rhapsody.

lxy, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 16:12 (eighteen years ago)

Not sure I ever actually saw this movie, so I will be of little help.

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 16:15 (eighteen years ago)

Apparently it wasn't hugely memorable as a film; I think I saw it in college, but I can't remember anything about it other than the scene where they re-enact the opening sequence of Laverne and Shirley. And that might have been Wayne's World 2. (Although... WAS there a Wayne's World 2?)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 17:28 (eighteen years ago)

OH NOES THRED TITLE BROEKEN AGANE BUMP ;_;

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 19:42 (eighteen years ago)

a puppy has returned, how do we lure him to ITR?

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 19:43 (eighteen years ago)

Either invite him personally, or I guess you could try putting out some kibble or something.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 19:46 (eighteen years ago)

I think we should invite the dude whose friend allegedly stuck his hand in a deep fryer.

HI DERE, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 19:57 (eighteen years ago)

I'll take anybody who isn't "A BABY"

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:06 (eighteen years ago)

(I suspect that "a baby" is LJ's first attempt at sockpuppeting, BTW)

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:07 (eighteen years ago)

I think we should invite the guy with the deep fried hand, myself.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:11 (eighteen years ago)

I'm thinking of just moving both those threads over here anyway

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:12 (eighteen years ago)

WE WELCOME THEM BOTH WITH OPEN ARMS.

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:13 (eighteen years ago)

guys we might want to tidy up the place before our new threads arrive.

John Justen, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:16 (eighteen years ago)

so exciting.

estela, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:18 (eighteen years ago)

guys we might want to tidy up the place before our new threads arrive.

WHERE IS THE REAL JOHN JUSTEN?

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:31 (eighteen years ago)

I started to "tidy up" by marking every thread not safe for work but then my boss came over and I had to actually do work.

HI DERE, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:38 (eighteen years ago)

lol good luck finding the actual not safe for work thread now!

HI DERE, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:41 (eighteen years ago)

omg a puppy is back! today is the best day!

I am not a fan of babies in general and "a baby" in particular.

jessie monster, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 20:57 (eighteen years ago)

I don't mind babies as long as I can give them back to their parents after a while. "a baby," though, I probably would avoid.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 9 January 2008 21:03 (eighteen years ago)
