Yes, not enough sleep = entire body hates me. I don't think STEAKS would be the cure, but I will be forced to confess that I have not yet tried this remedy.

i can only get anything done by implementing a reward system for myself, along the lines of 1) do something fun / indulgent then 2) do something useful / necessary then 3) do something fun / indulgent then 4) etc. until it's time to start drinking whereupon it's all fun / indlugence and nothing useful / necessary happens till the next day.

thus my days usually look something like this:

wake
smoke / read / drink coffee
take a shower
smoke / play super mario galaxy / drink coffee
clean something
smoke / read / drink coffee
go to the store
smoke / play super mario galaxy/ drink coffee
work on a project
smoke / drink coffee
cook (maybe)

Yes, my parents have two liquor stores (or maybe three - my brother runs one of them and is partial or full owner; this is where family business stuff gets hazy). I would say that it is a solid business to have. Also, I've worked in a variety of retail and my two favorites: books and booze.

Before someone else mocks me (AHEM, JOHN), I should also explain that I rarely drank as a teenager. Crazy teenage rebellion of NOT drinking!

This is apparently so well remembered that, upon seeing me in a bar after not seeing me for 14 years, FB's first comment to me was, "you're drinking colored water, aren't you?" (hahaha, NO, it was a for realz alcoholic beverage)

Also, I was not averse to other people drinking: witness my efforts to help John make Jell-o shots during his first term at college. I left and he immediately screwed them up (he can tell that part of the story), but still.
