John Justen, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 18:11 (eighteen years ago)

Hmmm, I liked that. So you're saying the rest of his stuff sucks, though, then?

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 18:42 (eighteen years ago)

BTW MY PORTISHEAD CD HAS JUST BEEN OPENED AND WILL SOON BE LISTENED TO. IT CAME ON SATURDAY, BUT I JUST FINALLY FOUND TIME TO OPEN IT!

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 18:43 (eighteen years ago)

So, you're on "Nylon Smile" by now, right?

HI DERE, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 18:56 (eighteen years ago)

Yep, just passed it... now up to "The Rip" So far I like this c.d., but I think it's going to take a while for *anything* to sink in after the past few weeks.

BUT I have heard "Machine Gun" on The Current several times and like it better every time.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 18:58 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, actually NOW listening to "Nylon Smile," as apparently I am still too out of it to realize that I had my iTunes set to "shuffle."

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 19:13 (eighteen years ago)

hahaha oops, I did that with Pulp's "This Is Hardcore".

HI DERE, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 19:28 (eighteen years ago)

Well, I am basically in a post-nursing school hazing coma, WHAT WAS YOUR EXCUSE

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 19:31 (eighteen years ago)

It was 1997.

HI DERE, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 19:33 (eighteen years ago)

(btw, as a direct result of that I can't listen to that album anymore because the shuffled track order was so so so so much better than the actual track order)

HI DERE, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 19:34 (eighteen years ago)

The answer "it was 1997" makes total sense to me, but only because I got pregnant that year and was so tired that I used to lie down in the side closet in my office at work. (hahaha, and I thought I was hiding the whole pregnancy thing).

Also laughing at you not being able to listen to the album anymore... clearly you just need to recreate the shuffle on a playlist. Modern technology is crazy helpful. It means I can just delete the songs I hate from albums I love...

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 19:39 (eighteen years ago)

Also, how bad is it that I got the Portishead album for myself instead of giving it to A. for his birthday? I mean, it's not like he won't be able to *share* it... and I did get him some other stuff... okay, I just didn't want to have to wait until Friday to hear it. I CONFESS

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 19:44 (eighteen years ago)

It's not bad. BE SELFISH.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 20:54 (eighteen years ago)

I can't remember the exact track order otherwise I would!

HI DERE, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 20:55 (eighteen years ago)

unnecessary lyrics pages

HI DERE, Tuesday, 3 June 2008 21:08 (eighteen years ago)

You know, I believe now that I could easily become a songwriter.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 01:23 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, I'm going to lift weights now. Booooor-ing.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 01:24 (eighteen years ago)

i just did that, and it was boring

remy bean, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 02:07 (eighteen years ago)

also my arms hurt from superman pushups

remy bean, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 02:10 (eighteen years ago)

superman that pushup

HI DERE, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 02:19 (eighteen years ago)

It was boring. What the heck is a superman pushup? (not that it matters; I'm sure I can't do it)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 02:23 (eighteen years ago)

Also, watching Obama speak made it somewhat less boring, but he came out and I went OMG WHY DIDN'T I DRIVE TO ST. PAUL FOR THIS

(answer: pathetic exhaustion)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 02:23 (eighteen years ago)

i am so lame i fell asleep mid law and order which sucks because i didn't get to see any of it this season and they don't stream it online. man. now i am going to try to watch the da vinci code which, remarkably, i have never seen! i will probably fall asleep again 2 min in.

tehresa, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 02:47 (eighteen years ago)

Is Law and Order and NBC show? WHY don't they put stuff up on their website? I miss ER. But not so much that I will TiVo it instead of LOST.

I am sitting here trying to write my self-evaluation for this past weekends clinicals. I am so tired of writing about this past weekend. OVER IT NOW

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 03:55 (eighteen years ago)

Going to bed, done with school for three months, not sure what to do with myself. BUT J is graduating from kindergarten tomorrow!

And I should probably spend the rest of the day cleaning. In-laws will be here this weekend!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 05:21 (eighteen years ago)

Also - good night all!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 05:22 (eighteen years ago)

3 MONTH BENDER DUH

John Justen, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 05:51 (eighteen years ago)

ill explain it to your kids while they mix us all drinks

John Justen, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 05:51 (eighteen years ago)

John, what I love about that is that I know that you really would be the first person in line to try out mixed drinks concocted by my five year old.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 11:11 (eighteen years ago)

JJ seems like a good guy altogether. I should try and read the "JJ and FB will drink it" thread...

hyggeligt, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 11:14 (eighteen years ago)

tis crassic.

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 11:16 (eighteen years ago)

John is a good guy, and he's also hilarious. And I appreciate those things about him!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 11:21 (eighteen years ago)

John Justen hates me.

John Justen's Poor Beleaguered Liver, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 13:23 (eighteen years ago)

i'm pretty sure JJ would hate me the mostest, or at the very least be extremely disappointed in me, if we met in person: i'm the lamest drinker in the world and can't even do shots of the most gentle alcohol without gagging. and i hate most types of alcohol.

sorry john justen!

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 13:29 (eighteen years ago)

Waitaminute, how come I wasn't told I was wicked awesome by the ITR mods or even given effusive praise. U LYE!

hyggeligt, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 13:35 (eighteen years ago)

you were, but webmail is broken so you just didn't get it.

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 13:38 (eighteen years ago)

hyggeligt: one of the awesomest guys whose name I have no idea how to pronounce and who I'm not even 100% sure is a guy

HI DERE, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 13:48 (eighteen years ago)

he's lingbert's swedish cousin.

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 13:57 (eighteen years ago)

hyggeligt is COMPLETELY AWESOME IN ALL WAYS

I can just tell.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 13:58 (eighteen years ago)

Oh wait, I'm not a mod.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 13:58 (eighteen years ago)

RR, John would not hate you for your alcohol-free ways; he would just feel sad for you while drinking your portion of the booze.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 13:59 (eighteen years ago)

I <3 you all...

Not so far off with the Swedish. It's a Danish word, pretty untranslatable. It means cosy or cosseted. It's pronounce Huge-rh-lee.

I am a guy. I think.

hyggeligt, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 14:09 (eighteen years ago)

Just checked. Yes, still a guy.

hyggeligt, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 14:10 (eighteen years ago)

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 4 June 2008 14:22 (eighteen years ago)
