i seem to have texted my friend shaun the following at 5 AM:

i was angry at him because i made him drink until he passed out before the desert course at the reception

this was after i phoned in FB for a long distance drink dedication that was a shot of tequila with a splash of grapefruit and an entire lime squeezed into it.

this was the first of many times that the bartender informed me that he could actually make me drinks that tasted good, which i steadfastly declined.

John, I'd like to meet the psychiatrist who could psychoanalyze you.

well, actually there was one thing that happened: i went out to the courtyard just before we were closing up, because there was still one table out there and no one had been out to check on them in awhile. i found this couple snorting lines of coke of the edge of their pasta plates.

His brother-in-law was one of the leads in the production of "The Rise & Fall of the City of Mahagonny" I did last year and I spent a good amount of time hanging out with him and his wife (Har Mar's sister) during the afterparty, which is where I found out that she and Har Mar grew up in MN a little over an hour away from where I lived. The brother-in-law actually was the person who brought up the connection, which I thought was rad because I think I was probably the only person in the cast who would recognize the name.
