I should have started reading when this was back in the 8000! What the hell is going on here? I read the beginning posts a few weeks ago where it was something about the title needing to be kept fresh but this is mental!

hyggeligt, Thursday, 29 May 2008 11:44 (eighteen years ago)

the title used to break, until tombot discovered the magical string of characters and now it is UNBREAKABLE. we used to have tag teams for posting, since the thread needed to be bumped every 108 mins in order to keep the title in tact.

basically, this is how it works: some of us come here to post about the relatively mundane/sometimes interesting stuff we do day to day, just to vent, and because we are actually interested in each other's lives. some of us are here to post LOLZ. and some of us just want to learn how to be a fake american.

Rubyredd, Thursday, 29 May 2008 11:47 (eighteen years ago)

dude, are you undercover? do you normally post under a different user name?

Rubyredd, Thursday, 29 May 2008 11:48 (eighteen years ago)

Ha ha well that sounds familiar. Alright. Rawk etc.

hyggeligt, Thursday, 29 May 2008 11:49 (eighteen years ago)

xxxposts Yeah, Ruby, I got that memo too! Considering that posting such a hypocritical flameout leaves the poster vulnerable to each and every one of his criticisms of others, and considering the pure class of the butthurt allies left in his wake, I'd say the banhammer was spot on and the resultant flouncing off was just gravy.

Any thread with HSTNGS and those who love them on it is fine by me.

suzy, Thursday, 29 May 2008 11:54 (eighteen years ago)

this is AWESOME:

ok well im super drunk right now (even when he gets drunk he spends his time modding ilx. kinda sad) after playing bass in an awesome metal show (ilxors talking about their bullshit lives that no one asked about) and i have a hot chick waiting for me in my bed (its like an episode of sex in the city) so ill say this (obviously loves the "this is the thread where i say")

-- estela

Rubyredd, Thursday, 29 May 2008 11:57 (eighteen years ago)

we should c/p this to all the threads he's posted that rant on.

Rubyredd, Thursday, 29 May 2008 11:57 (eighteen years ago)

Rant has been sensibly removed from most of them, so no need. FWIW the ban on the other guy is well deserved.

suzy, Thursday, 29 May 2008 12:39 (eighteen years ago)

i'm kinda mad that i went off on that thread at him, shouldn't have taken the bait :/

but i try so hard to avoid calling ppl out on their bullshit and just ignore it, and then i get to a point where i can't anymore.

Rubyredd, Thursday, 29 May 2008 12:44 (eighteen years ago)

hi ruby, hi suzy

estela, Thursday, 29 May 2008 12:46 (eighteen years ago)

Chaki is the Orson Welles of ILX. I'll leave you to infer which aspects of Mr Welles.

Sorry, "was". LOL

Mark C, Thursday, 29 May 2008 13:02 (eighteen years ago)

Hey guys, sorry to come across all paternal etc but I for one would be super grateful if you didn't talk about Chaki here. Obv I get the need for venting and he's obviously a hot topic of conversation but, if possible, I'd prefer it if you guys chatted about him elsewhere.

HI DERE, Thursday, 29 May 2008 13:23 (eighteen years ago)

Oh, wanted to reassure you guys I'm not going to STOP anyone from talking about him by deleting posts or banning or anything like that.

HI DERE, Thursday, 29 May 2008 13:24 (eighteen years ago)

It's so clear that not reading other parts of ILX means that I can't follow what on earth is going on, but it seems like that is a good thing lately?

Sara R-C, Thursday, 29 May 2008 13:34 (eighteen years ago)

Of course chaki's well known for his discretion and respecting boundaries so I'm happy to afford him the same courtesy.

Mark C, Thursday, 29 May 2008 14:13 (eighteen years ago)

good night itr

estela, Thursday, 29 May 2008 14:36 (eighteen years ago)

oh woah i missed some stufff...

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 14:39 (eighteen years ago)

Coining a new phrase here: a 'bro job' is a misguided defense of another poster whose own shitty behaviour mirrors and enhances the OP's idea of himself as someone suitable to Drink With The Guys.

Yes tza. Chaki is so butthurt about what they did to his BF he's down in ER having his coccyx x-rayed.

suzy, Thursday, 29 May 2008 14:44 (eighteen years ago)

burt stanton already coined 'brojob' as an act of oral sex two bros engage in on the dl while drunk on coors lite, so there might be some confusion there

deeznuts, Thursday, 29 May 2008 14:48 (eighteen years ago)

hey someone told me this place was like sex and the city? who's samantha?????

DG, Thursday, 29 May 2008 14:49 (eighteen years ago)

burt stanton did not coin "brojob" that phrase is as old as the hills

max, Thursday, 29 May 2008 14:50 (eighteen years ago)

i know but its cool to think he did

deeznuts, Thursday, 29 May 2008 14:50 (eighteen years ago)

Pardon us for ignoring a Stanton post, I can't think why such a thing would be overlooked. I direct you guys to an essay called Peter Knows What Paul Wants (author? no idée), which covers random acts of het male BJ madness.

suzy, Thursday, 29 May 2008 15:09 (eighteen years ago)

haha suzy.

so back to idle twee chatter we are so good at?

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 15:22 (eighteen years ago)

Hi dere I have an orange

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 29 May 2008 15:32 (eighteen years ago)

samantha = John Justen

We're not a very good Sex & the City.

HI DERE, Thursday, 29 May 2008 15:32 (eighteen years ago)

hi dere still waiting on 1 more grade, but so far 3 a's and 1 a-!

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 15:33 (eighteen years ago)

dan = mr. big?

ill-advised post

DG, Thursday, 29 May 2008 15:36 (eighteen years ago)

haha

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 15:36 (eighteen years ago)

Nice job Tehresa!

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 29 May 2008 15:36 (eighteen years ago)

PHEAR MY MIGHTY PHALLUS

Mr. Big, Thursday, 29 May 2008 15:38 (eighteen years ago)

tehresa - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Wow, that's a lot of grades. Just one class is killing me!

I've never seen a single episode of Sex and the City, so I'm at a loss here. Except I know that Sarah Jessica Parker plays "Carrie," and is apparently getting married or something. At the very least, I've seen unflattering bridal photos of her in a rather ugly wedding dress on the rolling beauty thread.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:04 (eighteen years ago)

Okay. This is a great thread. I <3 you all. Not Mr. Big though, I hear he suffers from bootyflakes...

hyggeligt, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:05 (eighteen years ago)

hahahaha

Sara R-C, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:07 (eighteen years ago)

thanks sara! i'm really nervous about the last grade to come in, but at least marketing was an a!

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:16 (eighteen years ago)

you are doing ALL this work for 1 class???? it must be like 1000 credits!

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:16 (eighteen years ago)

No, it's just 8 credits. I wouldn't mind any of it, really, if the deadline on the GIANT papers that go with clinicals were extended some. Still, this time I feel a bit more psychologically prepared to sit and write 30 pages on no sleep. Some poor prof is going to have to read it all, sooooo...

Sara R-C, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:32 (eighteen years ago)

Wait, was your marketing class the one with the prof who was making you crazy?

Sara R-C, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:33 (eighteen years ago)

yes!!!!!!!

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:34 (eighteen years ago)

also, wow an 8 credit class is INTENSE. mine don't get bigger than 4.

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:34 (eighteen years ago)

YAY! That is awesome to get an A from that prof.

8 credits is kind of intense, but at least it's just the one class at a time. There's one woman in our class who has kids, lives an hour from school, AND has a full time job. I don't know how the heck she does it. (The one with SIX kids I kind of understand... classes must be a respite for her!)

Sara R-C, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:36 (eighteen years ago)

it seems like 1 8-credit class is a trick for them shoving 14 credits into 1 class.

tehresa, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:46 (eighteen years ago)

Meantime -- rhinos = they are badass.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:49 (eighteen years ago)

xpost The last few weeks of this class are kind of insane. The profs don't seem to realize this, though. If they'd just stop adding random stuff to the syllabus, that would help....

Ned has made me grateful that, if nothing else, my patient this weekend is unlikely to be a rhinoceros.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 29 May 2008 16:55 (eighteen years ago)

HERRO

remy bean, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:43 (eighteen years ago)

I MAILED OUT NEW SCRIPT YESTERDAY

remy bean, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:43 (eighteen years ago)

ned, did you see my q. about lambert simnel above?

remy bean, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:43 (eighteen years ago)

HI REMY!!!!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:50 (eighteen years ago)

hi sara!

remy bean, Thursday, 29 May 2008 18:52 (eighteen years ago)

So you finished a script? Congratulations, if so - I'm impressed by your productivity.
