i wish i had never read the cloverfield thread ages ago - it totally took all the excitement out of watching the movie today.

'i am legend' was good, but two disaster movies in one day was a bit much for my fragile brain.

ray caesar is having an exhibition in NYC at the jonathon levine gallery later this year. i may have to visit!

I recommend watching "Cloverfield" because I loved it.

i worked at a theater a few years ago that had Larry from Three's Company in it. he played a lawyer and was actually good.

larry was good, but the plays sucked :-\

i think i would have loved cloverfield way way more if i did not already know the entire script/storyline from reading the thread. but i couldn't resist!

I really enjoyed Cloverfield in the theater, but watching it at home was kind of deflating. On the other hand, I had fun showing some of it to Alex, who is almost 10 and on his way to the fear/love of scary movies that I had as a kid.

I want to see a play again someday! I don't care who is in it!

Not gonna lie, it's not a cheap TV, BUT if you save and wait for a sale, particularly if you can put aside $50 - $100 a month for it, you can get one within 18 months debt-free given the continuing price drop.

I've been without cable for five years -- thank god, really -- but I am interested in TV upgrading here within the next year or so now that instant legal movie downloads are pretty much gaining ground. Sorry but fuck a Netflix snail mail model, I'm too impatient for that! On the flipside, I am VERY patient when it comes to technology price collapses and letting humanity work the kinks out of things first before I buy anything, though.

Oooh, I like Netflix, BUT I can see where if you have time to watch more than a movie a week it would seem too slow. I feel like it's been moving too fast for me, but that is SO about to end, at least for the summer! YAY!

Also, if I didn't have cable, I'd be without Jon Stewart, and I'm secretly in love with that guy. Plus, you know, Food Network.

i heard netflix was allowing users to DL movies but i had to drop them awhile back & anyway waiting like 4 hrs to watch them on a PC isnt exactly the same as the flick coming instantly to yr tv screen
