i just got home from a thrilling night at work: the whole italian family i work with (dad and 4 sons - mum was off tonight) got into a huge screaming match and glasses and teapots got thrown, and two of them had to be pulled apart from killing each other.

guess who got to clean up the mess.

on the upside, i just rented cloverfield and i am legend. i didn't realise the will smith one is a 'horror' of sorts, or i wouldnt have got it - i had two horrendous nightmares last night, the first about a serial killer escaped from a mental institution and the second about a town of vampires trying to kill me.

RR, your life sounds so interesting, although not always in a good way. Sorry about you getting stuck watching all that AND cleaning their mess up. JEEZ.

I liked both of those movies, btw, but yeah, I get crazy nightmares, too. Apparently I Am Legend has an alternate ending on the disc - I forgot to look for that. For whatever reason, I found that whole movie super-depressing.

i wish i had never read the cloverfield thread ages ago - it totally took all the excitement out of watching the movie today.

'i am legend' was good, but two disaster movies in one day was a bit much for my fragile brain.

ray caesar is having an exhibition in NYC at the jonathon levine gallery later this year. i may have to visit!

I recommend watching "Cloverfield" because I loved it.

i worked at a theater a few years ago that had Larry from Three's Company in it. he played a lawyer and was actually good.

larry was good, but the plays sucked :-\

i think i would have loved cloverfield way way more if i did not already know the entire script/storyline from reading the thread. but i couldn't resist!

I really enjoyed Cloverfield in the theater, but watching it at home was kind of deflating. On the other hand, I had fun showing some of it to Alex, who is almost 10 and on his way to the fear/love of scary movies that I had as a kid.

I want to see a play again someday! I don't care who is in it!

Not gonna lie, it's not a cheap TV, BUT if you save and wait for a sale, particularly if you can put aside $50 - $100 a month for it, you can get one within 18 months debt-free given the continuing price drop.
