I kinda sympathize. But not.

I do get this Friday off, which is nice, and since today will be very quiet by default, I think I actually get the better end of the deal.

A. took the day off, which is a Good Thing for me, but I do think holidays at colleges/universities are almost not worth taking because they are so quiet. Better to avoid a frenzied day.

My plan: treadmill, friends over, study. Wash, rinse, repeat...

I will do so after I finish eating lunch. I just have to spend a few moments figuring out where my address book is, because my cell phone is not charged and the address book is the only place I keep people's numbers anymore.

(Am I the only person who no longer memorizes *any* phone numbers because technology just does everything for me? It's kind of idiotic, but I can't make myself learn numbers anymore.)

i used to be ace at phone number memorization. i still remember my elementary school friends' phone numbers, but if you asked me any of my current friends' numbers, i would maybe be able to give you area code. this is why i like having a phone that synchs with my computer address book.

i know absolutely zero percent of nothing when it comes to peoples phone numbers. however, this was largely true before technology made that status quo, so it might just be my own personal brain problem.

I bet you guys remember your *own* cell phone numbers, though. Not kidding, I emailed it to myself a long time ago so that I could always find it when at home.

hah i changed my number last july (after having the same number for 6 years) and i *think* i know it but every once in a while when i'm asked, i feel like i am just spitting out random numbers and it's all totally wrong.

cell phones. have ruined the world. except in emergency situations. in that case they are like the magical smurf falling down from azure skies

does the smurf's color differ enough from azure that you can see it falling down rather than blending in til you get hit in the head with it?

I don't love or hate cell phones, but I have to say that I'm glad to have it when I'm driving an hour each way to school, especially when the weather sucks so often. That being said, half the time I don't manage to have the thing charged, so maybe it's a wash.

I have in the past given the smackdown to sex pests. They don't expect someone much shorter and female to be able to do so, which is kind of half the battle if it becomes necessary.

i think i have the same kind of wiry strength that you do, suzy, people expect me to be frail because i am quite skinny and have a small frame but i am very strong (and quick).
