It sounds like your prof is sane. Ours keeps adding stuff to the syllabus, and everyone has about had it with that. She seems to think we are "anxious" about these changes, but the fact is that she keeps changing things. And the latest change is adding a "reflection" paper in two parts, due the night of the final - and the morning of the prep day for next clinical (which are next Thursday and Friday).

Oh yeah - point value for this out-of-nowhere project? ZERO

I mean, I like this woman personally, but it has gone beyond bad communication and disruptiveness to being just kind of surreal.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:30 (eighteen years ago)

God I hope I can find something new to talk about after this class is over. I'm sick of being frustrated with it!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:30 (eighteen years ago)

the theater hist prof is actually one of the coolest people ever. i think she just got mixed up a lil for that 1 question.

note: not same prof as i've been bitching about forever.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:32 (eighteen years ago)

Whew! Plus "theater history" sounds like a fun class.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:37 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, for those who don't know, the back yard of my house backs up to a cemetery. For the past ten minutes, someone's car alarm has been going off. I finally looked and it is a car parked in the cemetery.

SERIOUSLY WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:39 (eighteen years ago)

I mean, if nothing else will, THAT is going to bring on a zombie attack.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:39 (eighteen years ago)

Tinnitus Of The Dead

HI DERE, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:44 (eighteen years ago)

ummm... it was sorta fun when the prof would tlak because she's kind of genius, but she also really liked the whole 'involve everyone all the time thing' and some of my classmates go on and on and on for ages w/out really saying anything or end up repeating themselves 5x a speech for every speech throughout the entire year. also, it was a shit ton of reading, which was ok for people who have taken th. history before, but i hadn't, so 90% of the material was brand new to me and it was hard to keep up. also this course just made me want to take a music history refresher course but there is no time.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:45 (eighteen years ago)

lol zombie car alarms!

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:45 (eighteen years ago)

She finally drove out of the cemetery with the car alarm still going, so either she has no idea how to turn it off or she isn't hearing it in the first place.

xpost Don't laugh; I live by where the zombies will GET ME!!!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:48 (eighteen years ago)

xpost to academic talk - I want to take a class like one of those!!! I don't mind a shit ton of reading (really!).

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:49 (eighteen years ago)

sara perhaps she was stealing the car?

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:53 (eighteen years ago)

haha that's so funny. all i want to do is DO THINGS. i am so tired of all the masturbatory discussion and never doing anything.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:54 (eighteen years ago)

ZOMBIE CAR THIEF

RIIIIIIIIIMS.....

HI DERE, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:57 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 20:24 (eighteen years ago)

I would not rent a movie about zombie rimming.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 20:28 (eighteen years ago)

HI DERE, Thursday, 22 May 2008 20:31 (eighteen years ago)

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 20:40 (eighteen years ago)

actual convo at work today:

"well with zombies, you know, you never have to reload a sword"
"well with all the highly contagious blood diseases and what not, I don't think I'd want to have to be using a sword alone"
"what about those new FAST zombies?"
"they just made those up for the movie, those aren't real zombies"

El Tomboto, Thursday, 22 May 2008 20:42 (eighteen years ago)

wau, truthbomb

HI DERE, Thursday, 22 May 2008 20:45 (eighteen years ago)

HI DERE, Thursday, 22 May 2008 20:55 (eighteen years ago)

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 20:59 (eighteen years ago)

randell: 'dante, you know what would be a great title for a porn starring the former head of homeland security?'

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 21:12 (eighteen years ago)

rumsfeld was the former SECDEF.

You're thinking Tom Ridge, Dick Too Bidge

El Tomboto, Thursday, 22 May 2008 21:16 (eighteen years ago)

http://www.country-rock.co.nz/images/07bidge.jpg

“Bidge”, ( Proper name Ian Boyd ) was in a pop/rock group called ECSTASY in the 70’s, then a series of duos and trios since.

His early influences in music were the Everly Bros, Creedence and the Eagles, which explains his interest in harmonies.

After a few breaks from music he began showing more interest in country music.

Currently he does solo work and also plays in a duo called Top - Secret with his wife Barb, as well as playing with Laura Downing from Brisbane whenever she’s in the bottom half of Aust. He has also performed in two Slim Dusty tribute concerts.

Bidge has attended many festivals in Vic, SA, NSW, and Norfolk Island.

He has played at Bay of Islands festival in New Zealand, toured Tasmania and played at Tamworth, Mildura and many other festivals and venues with Laura Downing.

He has been a guest artist for several country music groups around Sth Western Victoria.

He is currently a member of six country music clubs.

As a member of backing bands he has shared the stage with a variety of artists including Adam Harvey at a benefit concert early in Adam’s career.

He recorded his first CD titled “Every Second, Every Minute” in March 2006 with Stuie French at Swingin’ Door studio in Sydney.

The CD was given a favourable review in Capital News magazine in Aug. edition.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 21:51 (eighteen years ago)

For Dan -- so one band called 'The Carnage Visors' has attempted to Myspace friend me. But they did so with this message:

"hello muffin will you be our valentine?"
