Abbott's vision of my arrival, meanwhile, is most astounding.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:52 (eighteen years ago)

xpost to suzy - I didn't mind the paperwork associated with the actual nursing (i.e. charting - I am slow, but will improve over time), and I don't even mind being asked to write a 20+page paper about my patient. I do object to doing it (the paper) with nowhere near enough time and direction as to how they want it to be done. I think my paper took me 23-25 hours total - on nowhere near enough sleep for the weekend. It was ridiculous.

BUT my prof is going to hear about it in evals, so... The sad part about it is that I really like my prof; I just think that the program itself has some serious problems.

Tonight I went back to amaretto plus Neopolitan, but I'm totally up for your suggestion, suzy!

But then I really will be fat, so my hopes of being a SMOKING HOT CORPSE will be dashed. ;_;

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 02:16 (eighteen years ago)

that is where cremation is your friend.

estela, Thursday, 22 May 2008 02:31 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 06:30 (eighteen years ago)

But! We did watch Juno tonight, and I really liked it. Can't wait to sit and watch movies and read books and drink boozy milkshakes allllll summer long.

Made a Strongbow milkshake last year. Perhaps not quite as stylish but still quite fall-overy.

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 22 May 2008 13:34 (eighteen years ago)

Hey John/Sara:

Do either of you know 4undrea P4skett and, if so, know why she would have contacted me on Facebook when I'm pretty sure I have never seen her before in my life?

HI DERE, Thursday, 22 May 2008 13:48 (eighteen years ago)

It's clearly a Terminatrix sent from the future to find you before you find a way to make the robots your slaves.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 14:19 (eighteen years ago)

That must be it, thanks!

(I'm trying to figure out if this is a: friend of a friend; b: someone who knows my dad; or c: Terminatrix. C is leading the pack so far (as it is wont to do).)

HI DERE, Thursday, 22 May 2008 14:23 (eighteen years ago)

i want all this boozy milkshakes NOW.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 14:59 (eighteen years ago)

Another Terminatrix?! Back into hiding for you, my friend!

tehresa, come visit and we will have as many boozy milkshakes as we can handle!!!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 15:38 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:12 (eighteen years ago)

somehow in my excitement a D slipped in there

John Justen, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:13 (eighteen years ago)

I bet it's warm on the other side of the finish line.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:13 (eighteen years ago)

Note to self: when John gets excited about something, random letters of the alphabet will be expressed.

Okay, got it.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:14 (eighteen years ago)

is ok john i like the D. i let them slip in myslef from time to time.

sara you will be there soon enough! god, i can not even describe how euphoric i feel right now.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:17 (eighteen years ago)

I'm so jealous!

I am trying to go back to review immunity stuff from months ago, and I know a lot of it, but it seems like the stuff I don't remember I can't make any progress in retaining now. LAME

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:25 (eighteen years ago)

can anyone tell me about the stock character "mose the fireman"? because i don't remember and that was 3 points i totally missed... unless she gives me partial credit for the b.s. i made up.

turns out no one knew who this was and it wasn't discussed in the book? we're thinking she confused us w/ the undergrad class but after she sees that none of us knew the answer, will either waive the ? or give us credit.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:26 (eighteen years ago)

Yay the tehresa! Plz to drink.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:28 (eighteen years ago)

^_^

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:29 (eighteen years ago)

It sounds like your prof is sane. Ours keeps adding stuff to the syllabus, and everyone has about had it with that. She seems to think we are "anxious" about these changes, but the fact is that she keeps changing things. And the latest change is adding a "reflection" paper in two parts, due the night of the final - and the morning of the prep day for next clinical (which are next Thursday and Friday).

Oh yeah - point value for this out-of-nowhere project? ZERO

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:29 (eighteen years ago)

I mean, I like this woman personally, but it has gone beyond bad communication and disruptiveness to being just kind of surreal.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:30 (eighteen years ago)

God I hope I can find something new to talk about after this class is over. I'm sick of being frustrated with it!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:30 (eighteen years ago)

the theater hist prof is actually one of the coolest people ever. i think she just got mixed up a lil for that 1 question.

note: not same prof as i've been bitching about forever.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:32 (eighteen years ago)

Whew! Plus "theater history" sounds like a fun class.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:37 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, for those who don't know, the back yard of my house backs up to a cemetery. For the past ten minutes, someone's car alarm has been going off. I finally looked and it is a car parked in the cemetery.

SERIOUSLY WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:39 (eighteen years ago)

I mean, if nothing else will, THAT is going to bring on a zombie attack.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:39 (eighteen years ago)

Tinnitus Of The Dead

HI DERE, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:44 (eighteen years ago)

ummm... it was sorta fun when the prof would tlak because she's kind of genius, but she also really liked the whole 'involve everyone all the time thing' and some of my classmates go on and on and on for ages w/out really saying anything or end up repeating themselves 5x a speech for every speech throughout the entire year. also, it was a shit ton of reading, which was ok for people who have taken th. history before, but i hadn't, so 90% of the material was brand new to me and it was hard to keep up. also this course just made me want to take a music history refresher course but there is no time.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 19:45 (eighteen years ago)

lol zombie car alarms!
