PS tehresa, you'd better be out celebrating now!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:02 (eighteen years ago)

Yay drunk in NYC! Why I'll be doing that soon enough. :-)

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:02 (eighteen years ago)

I am going to be a fat alcoholic by the end of this semester

if you do it correctly, alcoholism can keep you slim and trim. of course then your liver fails and you die but hey whatever

SMOKIN HOT CORPSE YO

John Justen, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:07 (eighteen years ago)

I smoke two corpses in the morning
And then I smoke again

Er, wait.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:15 (eighteen years ago)

I just like how for all the good it's done so far pash, stet, myself, ned et al. could just as well have said "we gone ban some more people real soon now and you know who you are and y'all can lick ours' bollox if u don't like it" as opposed to trying to lay out some policy in a verbose and reasoned manner

i totally think you should have done this.

i just got home from three hours of sorting bits of furniture (small bits of wood for packing a type frame) into like 112 different compartments. totally fun.

Rubyredd, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:16 (eighteen years ago)

and welcome, forks. this isn't strictly inane chatter; this thread is also oftentimes v v funny.

Rubyredd, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:17 (eighteen years ago)

not celebrating yet. but tomorrow... oooohhhh boy!

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:24 (eighteen years ago)

Applause to Tehresa for finishing that horrible exam, and to Sara for the health care plan (not to bum you but from what I've seen of nurses paperwork features heavily). People seriously need to suck up some kudos here for being accomplished and kind pretty much even when drunk.

Hope the boozy milkshake is the White Russian done with vanilla Haagen-Dazs which I periodically pimp as the best of the lot.

suzy, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:25 (eighteen years ago)

NED when are you coming?

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:26 (eighteen years ago)

Last weekend of June! Might be staying with my cousin in Manhattan, still working out details, but it'll be that Saturday through Tuesday July 1st.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:27 (eighteen years ago)

Sometimes I miss drinking but mostly I haven't noticed its absence. Sorry, alcohol.

Abbott, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:28 (eighteen years ago)

Ned I want you to arrive in Manhattan in a leather jacket and then have pyrotechnics behind you as you start singing Genesis's "Back in NYC."

Abbott, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:29 (eighteen years ago)

can anyone tell me about the stock character "mose the fireman"? because i don't remember and that was 3 points i totally missed... unless she gives me partial credit for the b.s. i made up.

Ned i am leaving for MAUI on 6/29 so you better get here before then!

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:30 (eighteen years ago)

good morning itr<3

estela, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:30 (eighteen years ago)

"When I take out my bottle, filled up high with gasoline,
You can tell by the night fires where Ned has been, has been..."

Abbott, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:31 (eighteen years ago)

I wish I lived a life more jet-setting than occasionally visiting Boise.

Abbott, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:31 (eighteen years ago)

Good morning, estela! Are you drinking a delicious caffeinated morning beverage?

Abbott, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:31 (eighteen years ago)

abbott this is the most jet-setty i'll have been since 2001? in the past few years most trips have been limited to: greenville, sc and buffalo, ny.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:33 (eighteen years ago)

abbott, sadly no, i am frantically working, but i wanted to call in and say hello to you all.

estela, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:34 (eighteen years ago)

Ned i am leaving for MAUI on 6/29 so you better get here before then

Yay Hawaii! :-D I will be there! Saturday is 6/28 so we will have a simultaneous welcome-to-me/farewell-to-tehresa thing that night, to which all must come.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:34 (eighteen years ago)

Abbott's vision of my arrival, meanwhile, is most astounding.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:35 (eighteen years ago)

:D

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:35 (eighteen years ago)

El Tomboto, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:35 (eighteen years ago)

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:36 (eighteen years ago)

whatever

El Tomboto, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:36 (eighteen years ago)

Tombot, you want me to do that the Thursday I'm there or the Friday?

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:36 (eighteen years ago)

Tehresa if you are spending any time on Oahu you must contact the gr8080.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:37 (eighteen years ago)

i wish, but it's strictly maui.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:45 (eighteen years ago)

Alack. Well drop him a line anyway, he'll know of some spots to enjoy there.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 01:52 (eighteen years ago)

xpost to suzy - I didn't mind the paperwork associated with the actual nursing (i.e. charting - I am slow, but will improve over time), and I don't even mind being asked to write a 20+page paper about my patient. I do object to doing it (the paper) with nowhere near enough time and direction as to how they want it to be done. I think my paper took me 23-25 hours total - on nowhere near enough sleep for the weekend. It was ridiculous.

BUT my prof is going to hear about it in evals, so... The sad part about it is that I really like my prof; I just think that the program itself has some serious problems.

Tonight I went back to amaretto plus Neopolitan, but I'm totally up for your suggestion, suzy!

But then I really will be fat, so my hopes of being a SMOKING HOT CORPSE will be dashed. ;_;

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 02:16 (eighteen years ago)

that is where cremation is your friend.

estela, Thursday, 22 May 2008 02:31 (eighteen years ago)

A whole other *kind* of smoking hot!!!

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 04:00 (eighteen years ago)

forksclovetofu, Thursday, 22 May 2008 04:18 (eighteen years ago)

Suzy - I have to go back to the boozy milkshake for the next time I need a fix. Your basic recipe please! vodka + coffee liquer + milk + a bunch of vanilla Haagen-Daz? (what am I missing?)

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 06:30 (eighteen years ago)

gah, I'm finally going to bed. I will have to be serious tomorrow and try to start studying again.

But! We did watch Juno tonight, and I really liked it. Can't wait to sit and watch movies and read books and drink boozy milkshakes allllll summer long.

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 06:53 (eighteen years ago)

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 22 May 2008 13:18 (eighteen years ago)

Made a Strongbow milkshake last year. Perhaps not quite as stylish but still quite fall-overy.

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 22 May 2008 13:34 (eighteen years ago)

Hey John/Sara:

Do either of you know 4undrea P4skett and, if so, know why she would have contacted me on Facebook when I'm pretty sure I have never seen her before in my life?

HI DERE, Thursday, 22 May 2008 13:48 (eighteen years ago)

It's clearly a Terminatrix sent from the future to find you before you find a way to make the robots your slaves.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 22 May 2008 14:19 (eighteen years ago)

That must be it, thanks!

(I'm trying to figure out if this is a: friend of a friend; b: someone who knows my dad; or c: Terminatrix. C is leading the pack so far (as it is wont to do).)

HI DERE, Thursday, 22 May 2008 14:23 (eighteen years ago)

i want all this boozy milkshakes NOW.

tehresa, Thursday, 22 May 2008 14:59 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Thursday, 22 May 2008 15:38 (eighteen years ago)
