tehresa -

You rock! You go get that exam out of the way!

I wish I could defect to NYC, BELIEVE ME. You make sure John and K. get back out alive for me, okay?

RR & wilter - HELLO!!!!

I'm going to go back and take a bit more of a nap now. God I love my pillow.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 13:57 (eighteen years ago)

I've come in here for a bit of peace. ILXors be CRAAAAAAAAAZY.

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 15:39 (eighteen years ago)

Well, sometimes it's people who bother ILXors when they're out and about.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 15:49 (eighteen years ago)

As if you've never tried to helpfully inform a parent of their infant's lifeless state. Surely it'd be rude not to disclose your suspicions?

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 16:11 (eighteen years ago)

I prefer to enjoy their screams of anguish upon realization.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 16:14 (eighteen years ago)

Ah yes, don't want to spoil the surprise eh? Marvellous, marvellous.

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 16:19 (eighteen years ago)

a dark pallor of inactivity has been casted upon the mollification on the lingbert

John Justen, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 18:49 (eighteen years ago)

John Justen, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 18:50 (eighteen years ago)

John Justen, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 18:51 (eighteen years ago)

always the bridesmaid, never the tag team partner

John Justen, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 18:52 (eighteen years ago)

hey ned, do you know/have you seen any good books about lambert simnel?

i think he is my next project.

remy bean, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 18:53 (eighteen years ago)

I would be posting more, but I'm still trying to recover from this past weekend. There's no doubt in my mind that I have the stamina to be a nurse (despite my mother's unforgettable early 1990s opinion); whether I have the stamina to remain a student nurse in *this* program remains to be seen. (I'd like to know the rationale for making us write 15-20 single spaced pages on no sleep, please!)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 19:00 (eighteen years ago)

I would also post more if I did not feel like a boring person with only one thing on my mind at this time.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 19:01 (eighteen years ago)

ink cartridges?

John Justen, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 19:03 (eighteen years ago)

i would post more but i don't have internet at home

remy bean, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 19:03 (eighteen years ago)

oh man sara that is rough.
i would post more but i was studying for my history final, which i am leaving to go take in 45 min. man, my hand is cramped from writing notes. at least the exam is on a computer so i don't have to write any more.

tehresa, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 19:14 (eighteen years ago)

Good luck on that final! Yay computers!!! :)

Yeah, I sat for 14 hours at my computer writing on Monday and was like, wow, this REALLY doesn't fit with how they are always going on about how body mechanics and preserving your back are important in nursing.

xpost, Yes John, ink cartridges it is!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 19:30 (eighteen years ago)

remy, we need to fix you up with some home internets access. I hope Seattle is treating you well!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 19:30 (eighteen years ago)

it is great here. but i have to go to pretend work now.

remy bean, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 19:32 (eighteen years ago)

hey ned, do you know/have you seen any good books about lambert simnel?

Unfamiliar name, actually! What's the deal?

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 20:09 (eighteen years ago)

dan, you're one of the few ppl who's making any sense on that huge thread.

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 20:37 (eighteen years ago)

its the ice cream, isnt it. works every time

John Justen, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 20:38 (eighteen years ago)

Huge thread o_0 full of anvilheads concern-trolling about waht is acceptable behaviour. BREATHE.

suzy, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 20:50 (eighteen years ago)

lol I think I only made one actual point on that thread (aka the harrassment distinction) and everything else was loljoeks

HI DERE, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 20:56 (eighteen years ago)

no wait, I guess that's not true if I go back and reread

HI DERE, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:09 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, it's definitely time for a meta-metabreak. I never post my daily effluvia on ILX, cuz it seems like the few times I have it's either roundly ignored or chewed over with heavy snark. I'm assuming that's part of the point of this thread; to just be pointless?
Anyways, tonight looks pleasant; if it'll stop raining, i'm gunna do a six/seven mile run with the pit, put in an hour on the wii fit with girl, order some food and watch an obscure vincente minelli film (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037604/). Gotta figure out whether or not i'm off for memorial day here....

forksclovetofu, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:17 (eighteen years ago)

waiting out the remaining 40 pre-exam minutes on campus. this is nerve-wracking but i think studying is moreso.

tehresa, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:22 (eighteen years ago)

If your computer is up for it forks, load the whole thread and read it from the beginning. It will make your eyes roll forcibly back into your head from the overwhelming waves of ennui explain the different shifts this thread went through before it became the general "ITR peeps chat inanely" thread.

HI DERE, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:23 (eighteen years ago)

also CONSIDER YRSELF OFFICIALLY MOLLIFIED

HI DERE, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:23 (eighteen years ago)

I feel so mollied.
PAGANFEST tomorrow looks superduper awesome exciting as well
goofy viking/d&d metal for three hours = FUN. http://www.myspace.com/paganfestusa
Any NY types interested in joining me for this one on Thursday?

forksclovetofu, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:26 (eighteen years ago)

I just like how for all the good it's done so far pash, stet, myself, ned et al. could just as well have said "we gone ban some more people real soon now and you know who you are and y'all can lick ours' bollox if u don't like it" as opposed to trying to lay out some policy in a verbose and reasoned manner

this is why I am applying to be a mod of various yahoo! groups instead, obv

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:26 (eighteen years ago)

xpost to tehresa - yeah, don't study now, it just makes you more nervous. (Unless you are just not prepared, but I doubt that is the case).

forksclovetofu - I'm pretty sure John went to Paganfest when it was here and he raved about it. But then he wound up going to church the following Sunday, so I'm not sure what happened.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:28 (eighteen years ago)

"we gone ban some more people real soon now and you know who you are and y'all can lick ours' bollox if u don't like it"

I am tempted to dare you to post this on the meta thread.

HI DERE, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:31 (eighteen years ago)

I don't think it really is meant to be a recruiting process for pagans, more just "hey, look at the pagans!"
I keep meaning to start a rolling "do-you-want-to-be-my-plus-one" thread for ny types as I'm always going out with room on the list, but i get the sense that it's viewed as crepey.

forksclovetofu, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:32 (eighteen years ago)

DUDE PAGANFEST WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. also i was doing sound for a church. i am a properly trained non-religious neer-do-well by trade. do not believe the Sara R-C lies.

John Justen, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:34 (eighteen years ago)

my favorite bands by far were eluveitie and turisas, so show up in a timely manner or you will miss METAL HURDY GURDY

John Justen, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:35 (eighteen years ago)

Sorry, John, just pushing your buttons for fun!

(John is totally an atheist and has been forever - I mean he was RAISED as an atheist. But hey, forksclovetofu probably didn't know that!)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:36 (eighteen years ago)

Hmm! Forks I'm going to a siti company reading tomorrow night but I'm on yr list gettin yr emails now so soon I will be knocking your door down for show hookups.

tehresa, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:38 (eighteen years ago)

you can tell im one of the good ones because i refuse to post on atheist threads xpost

John Justen, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:38 (eighteen years ago)

I do now. I am also excited by METAL HURDY GURDY

Tza, you know u have a standing golden ticket to most stuff in the city. That's what pub time gets ya.

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:48 (eighteen years ago)

xpost I'm in. I've decided that my profs are officially insane. Or possibly it is the students. Whichever - going off-planet sounds good. I'll bring cookies.

Hi Nick!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:52 (eighteen years ago)

I would like to go to space.

Abbott, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:54 (eighteen years ago)

I cannot get u a space ticket Abbott, but would be willing to get u in to see rock shamisen players.

forksclovetofu, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 21:55 (eighteen years ago)

hey aussie-itr peeps! the australian high commissioner came in for dinner tonight and he is a bro! real friendly dude, v v down to earth, funny, jokey, i gave him a bit of shit, we had a giggle and i got him drunk. he sweats a lot, tho. and he left a nice tip, which the last commissioner never did.

-- Rubyredd, Wednesday, 21 May 2008 11:52 (10 hours ago) Link
