HI DERE, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 05:07 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 05:17 (eighteen years ago)

I think I'm up to my the final section of my care plan, so there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Except that I have to repeat this nonsense in two weeks.

Anyway, gin and tonic death slushes for everyone!!!

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 05:18 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, how sick is it that I'm so tired that I'm now kind of enjoying how exhausted I am?

HELLO EXHAUSTION-INDUCED EUPHORIA

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 05:32 (eighteen years ago)

yay home, now bed

HI DERE, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 05:35 (eighteen years ago)

Yay for sleep! I will get to have some, too. SO EXCITED

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 05:40 (eighteen years ago)

wow dan you get home fast.

tehresa, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 05:43 (eighteen years ago)

yay sara!

tehresa, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 05:44 (eighteen years ago)

YAY all!

Not surprised at all re: G&T death slushies of Britain, this is totally something I could see Dr W!ld, age 93 handing out and in fact can already imagine the 1950s BBC English describing the need for such a thing. 'Partially frozen' also U&K because Britishes did not discover drink ice until about 1992.

Sara, my mom is like an independent notionally but she sucks up GOP talking points and yesterday sounded like she was smoking the freeper crack. I think it's time to hit her with the "I'm ashamed to hear this coming out of you" intergenerational flipback.

suzy, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 05:50 (eighteen years ago)

Also fax her a g&t slush first.

Abbott, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 05:57 (eighteen years ago)

"G&T death slushies of Britain" would be a good band name, as well as an enjoyable product.

suzy, I want to hear what your mother says if you tell her you're ashamed of her!!! She sounds entertaining.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:05 (eighteen years ago)

too bad that didn't make it into the john justen new name poll

tehresa, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:06 (eighteen years ago)

And it would have been so perfect, too. ;_;

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:07 (eighteen years ago)

I failed a bunch of lol college classes by getting hit in the head by a car. I have gotten (with the exception of a B from University of Minnesota professor Lary May who is a FUCK and fills me with distaste for the academic study of american studies) only A's and F's and carefully chosen Pass/fails in my long long college career. PS one of these days i should probably write my final thesis o_O

John Justen, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:50 (eighteen years ago)

HI DERE LARY MAY I STILL HOLD GRUDGE

John Justen, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:53 (eighteen years ago)

hey hey i been drinking wooooo

John Justen, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:53 (eighteen years ago)

"getting hit in the head by a car?"

Okay, more pieces of the medical history snap into place. Your chart must make for some crazy reading.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:53 (eighteen years ago)

Uh, but, you know, glad you're okay and everything!

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:53 (eighteen years ago)

(sorry, I'm kind of out of it, but am still sitting here in case a nursing school friend needs a late night pep talk)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:54 (eighteen years ago)

I feel like I want to hear the story behind the Lary May thing, too.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:55 (eighteen years ago)

where is tombot i feel that together we could focus a beam of perfect hate on lary may that would make his nudge nudge whee whee i am one of you kangol burst into flames

xpost: you know this story ms sara dominos pizza truck concussion circadian rhythms blah blah blah

John Justen, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:55 (eighteen years ago)

Mr. Justen, I do NOT know this story. I am sorry to inform you of this, but I fear your memory may be failing you at this early age.

Please tell the story at the earliest opportunity, before the desperate need for gin and tonic death slush hits you.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:59 (eighteen years ago)

And while I'm prying, someday I want to read that NaNoWriMo novel you wrote in its entirety.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 06:59 (eighteen years ago)

everybody who ever went to college knows the lary may story. you take the professor who gave you one letter grade lower than you expected or thought you deserved in the class, citing some really incredibly stupid officious reason, and you replace that prof's name with lary may

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 07:00 (eighteen years ago)

No, I meant I don't know the being hit by a pizza truck story (or whatever...?).

I don't think I ever had a prof like that, tbh, but I had plenty of other weird profs (my own fault for taking freaking organic chemistry, I suppose). The profs I have now are great on the teaching, horrible on the realistic scheduling expectations thing.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 07:04 (eighteen years ago)

heh, depression era AMST class, i focused on music (shock) he was a film dude, at one point we were having a lecture disussion about marlene dietrichs choice to wear masculine suits, i offered up the idea that it was related to the replacement of economic power during the time period, he asked me smugly what feminist textbook i had read that in, and i tole him to fuck off and walked out of the class. went into the final with 100% point total, final was worth 20% of the grade, left with an 80% B. fuck that guy.

xzpost hahaha but i actually have proof, and got my protest bounced because he was off campus and i stopped caring. still tombot OTM in general

John Justen, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 07:05 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 07:07 (eighteen years ago)

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 07:09 (eighteen years ago)

Mark C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 10:01 (eighteen years ago)

*unintelligible grunt*

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 10:07 (eighteen years ago)

Actually, it's not that bad. I have four days to endure before I have a full 9 days away from work. This also probably means 9 days away from ILX as well but, as hard as I imagine it'll be, I suspect y'all cope.

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 10:59 (eighteen years ago)

It'll make you a better person. Time away from ILX is the equivalent of finding health in a shoot-em-up.

Mark C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 11:35 (eighteen years ago)

so i was completely out of it at work tonight, really shouldn't have been there as i kept going hot/cold all night and feeling dizzy and coughing my lungs out - but ya know it's hospitality and i can't afford to take time off - and i had the fuckin fruitiest customers tonight. i really couldn't deal with anyone's shit so i was a pretty sarcastic/rude bitch to almost everyone. and then to top it all off this couple - and i know the woman, she's one of our wine reps - had a HUGE domestic at their table, which had been going for about 40mins when i left and was still going! she was bawling her eyes out and he was swearing at her really viciously, and my boss wouldn't intercept. so horrible ;_;

Rubyredd, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 11:37 (eighteen years ago)

What's this about Lary May.

As for the Troubles of Ruby, this is why you are leaving. Simple!

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 14:23 (eighteen years ago)

yikes how come my presentation is like 8 min when it's supposed to be 7? should i count on talking fast because of nerves?

tehresa, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 17:23 (eighteen years ago)

Who the hell specifies that you should "make your presentation exactly seven minutes?!"

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 20 May 2008 17:27 (eighteen years ago)
